What does the Philippine fairy tale teach? Essay based on the story “Filipok”

  • 12.08.2024

There was a boy, his name was Philip. Once all the boys went to school. Philip took his hat and wanted to go too. But his mother told him:

- Where are you going, Filipok?

- To school.

“You’re still young, don’t go.” “And his mother left him at home.”

The guys went to school. The father left for the forest in the morning, the mother went to work as a day laborer. Filipok and grandma remained in the hut on the stove.

Filip became bored alone, his grandmother fell asleep, and he began to look for his hat. I couldn’t find mine, so I took my father’s old one and went to school.

The school was outside the village near the church. When Filipok walked through his settlement, the dogs did not touch him - they knew him. But when he went out to other people’s yards, Zhuchka jumped out, barked, and behind Zhuchka was a large dog, Volchok. Filipok started to run, the dogs followed him. Filipok began to scream, tripped and fell. A man came out, drove the dogs away and said:

-Where are you, little shooter, running alone?

Filipok said nothing, picked up the floors and started running at full speed. He ran to the school. There is no one on the porch, but in the school you can hear the voices of the children buzzing. Fear came over Filip: “What if the teacher drives me away?” And he began to think about what he should do. To go back - the dog will eat again, to go to school - he is afraid of the teacher. A woman walked past the school with a bucket and said:

- Everyone is studying, but why are you standing here?

Filipok went to school.

In the senets he took off his hat and opened the door. The whole school was full of children. Everyone shouted their own, and the teacher in a red scarf walked in the middle.

- What are you doing? - he shouted at Filip.

Filipok grabbed his hat and nothing

didn't say.

- Who are you?

Filipok was silent.

- Or are you dumb?

Filipok was so frightened that he could not speak.

- Well, then go home if you don’t want to talk.

And Filipok would be glad to say something, but his throat was dry from fear. He looked at the teacher and cried. Then the teacher felt sorry for him. He stroked his head and asked the guys who this boy was.

- This is Filipok, Kostyushkin’s brother, he has been asking to go to school for a long time, but his mother won’t let him, and he came to school on the sly.

“Well, sit on the bench next to your brother, and I’ll ask your mother to let you go to school.”

The teacher began to show Filipok the letters, but Filipok already knew them and could read a little.

- Come on, say your name.

Filipok said:

- Hve-i - hvi, le-i - li, pe-ok - pok.

Everyone laughed.

“Well done,” said the teacher. -Who taught you to read?

Filipok dared and said:

- Kostyushka! I'm poor, I immediately understood everything. I am passionately so clever!

The teacher laughed and said:

- Stop boasting and learn.

Since then, Filipok began going to school with the children.

The bell rang and fell silent.

The lesson begins.

You sat down quietly at your desks,

Everyone looked at me

Let's listen carefully

We work diligently

Look at each other, at the guests and share your smiles.

2. Motivation.

Remember when you first wanted to go to school?

How did you start preparing for it?

Who accompanied you to school? Were you worried?

- What do you guys think, have children always been able to come to school like you and gain knowledge?

Why couldn't they study?

In ancient times, not every child could go to school. And the school was not like that. Several classes studied in one room at once, and there was only one teacher for all. He had the right to severely punish students for an unlearned lesson or prank.

In the old days, children studied

They were taught by the church clerk,

They came at dawn

And the letters repeated like this:

A yes B - like AZ yes Buki,

V as Vedi, G-Verb,

And a teacher for science

On Saturdays I flogged them.

3. Teacher's conversation. Communicate the topic and objectives of the lesson.

What do you think we will read about in class? (about how children studied before).

View the book display. Which writer will you be familiar with?

What problem will you set for yourself in class? ? Slide1

Look carefully, do all the books correspond to the theme of the exhibition? (the alphabet is extra)

Why is she with us in class again today?

The alphabet for children with simple letter names, children's works and pictures was written by Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy.

In those days, different alphabets were printed: some for children from rich families - colored, with pictures, others - for the poor - small, poorly printed, without illustrations. Leo Tolstoy also created the alphabet. (slide2)

In it he included short stories about the life of peasants and riddles. Here are some of them.

Twisted, tied up, dancing around the hut (broom)

There's a mountain in the yard,

And in the hut there is water. (Snow)

This alphabet was specially published for work in a school for the poor, which was opened and where Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy taught children.
In the old days there were few schools even in cities, and in villages almost everyone was illiterate. Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy 150 years ago created a school for the poor right in his Yasnaya Polyana estate. Slide3

The school was free and students were never punished with rods, unlike other schools. Slide4

The children loved their teacher and found it interesting to study. All the village boys and girls wanted to study there! Slide5
Many works from Tolstoy’s alphabet are still published in modern reading textbooks and are read with interest by children.

You will find out which work you will be familiar with today from the textbook on page 81. Look carefully at the book. What is it called? Guess from the cover who it is written about.? When did this boy live?

Slides as the teacher reads 7,8,9,10,11,12,13

Did you like the work?

Did your assumption coincide with the content of this work?

B) vocabulary work and work on the genre of the work.

Could the events of the work actually happen or is it just the author’s imagination?

This incident happened at school and Lev Nikolaevich knew about it.

What genre does the work “Filipok” belong to? (It's true)

What does the word "byl" mean? (Fact is what happened in reality, in life ). Slide14

There are unfamiliar words in the text

Read these words and find out their meaning. (on cards on tables)

DAY WORK – paid by the day

RUN AT FULL SPIRIT - very fast

POSTRELENOK – mischievous, tomboy

BEDOVIY – nimble, brave

IN) reading a work.

1) reading the first part (pp. 82-83) “in a chain”:

What characters appeared here? (Boy Philip, mother, father, grandmother, guys).

What did you find out about your mother?

What did you find out about your father?

What did you find out about your grandmother?

What did you find out about the guys?

What did you find out about Filipka?

(Filipok wanted to go to school, he asked, he asked his mother to send him to study.)

How did he get ready for school? (He chose the moment when the grandmother was sleeping, the father had gone to the forest, and the mother was at work.)

Was Filipok in a hurry? (Yes, he took his father’s hat. He does everything silently, without telling anyone.)

2) reading the second part (p. 83) “buzzing reading”:

Exercise for the eyes.

Oh, how long have we been reading?

The guys' eyes are tired.

Look all out the window.

Oh how high the sun is

We'll close our eyes now,

Let's build a rainbow in class

Let's go to the top of the rainbow,

Let's turn left, right

And then we'll slide down

Squint your eyes hard, but hold on.

How far was the school? (Beyond the village, you had to go through the entire village.)

Why did the dogs bark at Filipok? (The dogs barked because they didn’t know him. They had never seen him. And dogs also bark when you run.)

Filipok didn’t walk, but ran to school - that’s what’s important! Moreover, he was wearing his father’s old hat and fur coat.

What could Filipok do when the dogs barked at him?

Why didn’t he come back, even though it was scary?

Find expressions in the text that depict what happened to Philip.

3) reading the third part (p. 83-84.) silently.

What feeling came over Filip when he ran up to the school? (Children read from a book.)

How did Filipok enter school? (He took off his hat, entered quietly, was afraid that he could not speak.)

What new characters have emerged? (Man, woman with a bucket).

What can you say about the guy, what is he like?

What can you say about the woman?

Why didn’t the boy enter school without this “pushing”? (He was afraid).

Why didn’t Filippok answer anything to the teacher’s questions?

Find in the text and read how Philippok got scared.

I was so scared that I couldn’t speak.

My throat was dry from fear.

4) reading the fourth part (p. 85):

How did Filipok behave after the teacher’s praise? What did he say? ("I'm poor...")

He knows his own worth, he knows what it means to be poor and clever. Why did he tell the teacher that? (To convince him that he can learn.)

6 .Physical education minute.

The main character of the work, called by the writer a true story, is a little boy, called by everyone by the affectionate name Filipok.

The writer talks about the boy’s great desire to attend school, but due to Filip’s age, he is not yet allowed to go to school with other children.

One day, left at home under the supervision of his old grandmother, the boy decides to fulfill his dream and, after waiting for his grandmother to doze off, Filipok gets dressed and heads to the school building. True, the boy has to put on his father’s big hat, since he couldn’t find his own.

On the way to school, Filipok encounters obstacles in the form of angry dogs trying to bite an unfamiliar boy, and strangers who sincerely do not understand the appearance of a child without parents on the street.

Having reached the school, Filipok fearfully crosses its threshold, having previously bared his head. Overcoming embarrassment, he enters the class where his older brother Kostya is studying. The teacher interrupts the lesson with irritation, not understanding the reason for the child’s appearance, and the confused Filipok just silently cries. The children explain to the teacher that the boy really wants to gain knowledge. The understanding teacher decides to leave Filip in class, seating him at a desk next to his brother.

The example of a child reaching out to learn new and interesting things is the main meaning of the writer’s story.

Filipok

In the story “Filipok” the little reader is presented with a story that could well have happened to him or his peers; It’s not for nothing that the story has the subtitle “truth.”

Filippok became bored sitting in the hut, and he decided to go to school. He came, but was so confused that in response to the teacher’s questions he only remained silent and cried. The teacher left him in the classroom. “Well, sit on the bench next to your brother. And I’ll ask your mother to let you go to school.”

Despite the brevity of the story, the character of the boy is created in it. As soon as Filippok realizes that he wants to study at school, nothing can lead him astray, not the dogs that attacked him, nor the fear of the teacher. Not finding his hat, Filippok sets off on the journey in his father’s, which is too big for him, but at hand.

In the school building, the boy takes off his hat and only after that opens the door: he is well acquainted with peasant etiquette. Having recovered from the first fright, he pronounced his name, and although everyone laughed, he began to “say the Mother of God” to show that he knew prayers; but “every word he spoke was wrong.” The teacher stopped him: “Don’t boast, but learn.”
