This award ceremony can be called truly unpredictable. So, probably, the biggest surprise of the evening was that the plate in the “Breakthrough of the Year” nomination did not go to Olga Buzova. Ksenia Sobchak, of course, distinguished herself by choosing an unusual way to go on stage: the celebrity fluttered over the stage on ropes in the image of a “dragonfly of love,” as Ksenia herself later called herself. And immediately the presentation of the first award! The first to take the prize plate of the MUZ-TV 2017 award was Sergei Lazarev, who won in the Best Song nomination with a hit called You Are The Only One.

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the performance of the duet - the group A"Studio and Emin Agalarov. The artists performed the composition "If you are near" in glass cubes moving thanks to cables.

Another surprise was the nomination “Best Song of the 15th Anniversary,” which was included in the list in honor of the anniversary of the MUZ-TV 2017 award. The coveted prize was received by Sergei Zhukov for the composition “My Baby,” the words from which were chanted at that moment by fans of the band, and spectators who came to support completely different artists, and celebrities.

So, at exactly 19:00, thirty thousand spectators and about one and a half hundred celebrities took their seats in the hall to find out who will receive the awards of the MUZ-TV channel this year. The guests sitting in the VIP section almost unanimously agreed that Svetlana Loboda and Philip Kirkorov would not be left without an award. Only those who do not have a radio have not heard the songs of the first, and the shows of the second were sold out this year with such crazy full houses that it was simply impossible not to note it. Svetlana Loboda met the expectations of fans and took home the award in the “Best Performer” category.

Unlike last year, when Philip refused to even be nominated for an award, saying that he had already received everything he could, this year he turned out to be more supportive and allowed himself to be given a special prize for the 50th anniversary and a “plate” for best show. The once sworn enemy, and for some time now almost a friend of Kirkorov, Timati, was invited to present the award on stage. Let us remember that several years ago it was Timati who made a scandalous statement about the fact that all music awards in the country go to the same people. This started a feud between him and the King of Pop, for a long time the artists did not even demonstratively greet each other at events, but now the hatchet is buried. Although, while giving a speech, Timati, who was among the losers of the award for best show, did not miss the opportunity to remind those gathered that it was he, the only one of the nominees, who collected the full “Olympic” at his concerts.
