Having pushed his directorial career aside for long tours, Garik would return to filming only four years later. In 2001, the second film “Holiday” was released on Russian screens. Sukachev’s most notable and interesting work as a director is the film “House of the Sun,” released in 2010. The film tells about the life of representatives of the hippie movement. The script for this film was again written by Garik in collaboration with Ivan Okhlobystin.
In 2016, along with other Russian pop stars, Garik Sukachev took part in the social project #LIVE. The musician became one of the performers of Igor Matvienko’s song. Grigory Leps, Timati, Polina Gagarina, Valery Syutkin and others also took part in the creation of the musical composition. The song premiered on the television show “The Voice” on Channel One.
In 2018, the musician released a video for the song “What’s in Me,” which included footage filmed two years ago during a motorcycle expedition in Altai. Together with his colleagues in the musical group, Garik rode along the roads of the mountainous region and along its main highway, the Chuya Tract, on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Sukachev recorded the song at a London recording studio. The clip is based on the plot of the film of the same name, which Garik presented at the Shukshinsky Film Festival. The main character of the film finds an old Soviet atlas and follows its routes on a journey to the East of the country.
At the beginning of the summer of 2018, the legendary record label “Feelee”, with which Garik Sukachev closely collaborates, turned 30 years old. In honor of the company's anniversary, the musician gave a solo concert, which included the best musical compositions of recent years, as well as his favorite hits.
