Read parables about life with morality online. Short and wise parables for adults

  • 17.09.2024

For many years I have been collecting wise, beautiful, instructive stories. Surprisingly, the authors of most of these masterpieces are unknown. It is likely that the depth and inner beauty of these miniatures turns them into modern folklore, passed on from mouth to mouth. I bring to your attention ten of the best parables about the meaning of life and that important thing that allows you to compare life guidelines, distinguish true greatness and spiritual wealth from the limited world of everyday vanity, although at times it looks solemn and magnificent. I chose it to my taste, of course.

Full jar.

A philosophy professor, standing in front of his audience, took a five-liter glass jar and filled it with stones, each at least three centimeters in diameter.
- Is the jar full? - the professor asked the students.
“Yes, it’s full,” the students answered.
Then he opened the bag of peas and poured its contents into a large jar, shaking it a little. The peas took up the free space between the stones.
- Is the jar full? - the professor asked the students again.

“Yes, it’s full,” they answered.
Then he took a box filled with sand and poured it into a jar. Naturally, the sand completely occupied the existing free space and covered everything.
Once again the professor asked the students if the jar was full? They answered: yes, and this time definitely, it is full.
Then from under the table he took out a mug of water and poured it into the jar to the last drop, soaking the sand.
The students laughed.
“And now I want you to understand that the jar is your life.” Stones are the most important things in your life: family, health, friends, your children - everything that is necessary for your life to still remain complete even if everything else is lost. Peas are things that have become important to you personally: work, home, car. Sand is everything else, little things.
If you fill the jar with sand first, there will be no room left to accommodate the peas and rocks. And also in your life, if you spend all your time and energy on little things, there is no room left for the most important things. Do what makes you happy: play with your children, spend time with your spouse, meet with friends. There will always be more time to work, clean the house, fix and wash the car. Deal first of all with stones, that is, the most important things in life; define your priorities: the rest is just sand.
Then the student raised her hand and asked the professor, what is the significance of water?
The professor smiled.
- I'm glad you asked me about this. I did this simply to prove to you that no matter how busy your life is, there is always a little room for idleness.

Most valuable

One person in childhood was very friendly with an old neighbor.
But time passed, college and hobbies appeared, then work and personal life. The young man was busy every minute, and he had no time to remember the past, or even to be with his loved ones.
One day he found out that his neighbor had died - and suddenly remembered: the old man taught him a lot, trying to replace the boy’s dead father. Feeling guilty, he came to the funeral.
In the evening, after the burial, the man entered the empty house of the deceased. Everything was the same as many years ago...
But the small golden box, in which, according to the old man, the most valuable thing for him was kept, disappeared from the table. Thinking that one of her few relatives had taken her, the man left the house.
However, two weeks later he received the package. Seeing his neighbor's name on it, the man shuddered and opened the box.
Inside was the same golden box. It contained a gold pocket watch with an engraving: “Thank you for the time you spent with me.”
And he realized that the most valuable thing for the old man was the time spent with his little friend.
Since then, the man tried to devote as much time as possible to his wife and son.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths. It is measured by the number of moments that make us hold our breath.Time is running away from us every second. And it needs to be spent right now.

Footprints in the sand(Christian parable).

One day a man had a dream. He dreamed that he was walking along a sandy shore, and next to him was the Lord. Pictures from his life flashed in the sky, and after each of them he noticed two chains of footprints in the sand: one from his feet, the other from the feet of the Lord.
When the last picture of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. And he saw that often along his life’s path there was only one chain of traces. He also noted that these were the most difficult and unhappy times in his life.
He became very sad and began to ask the Lord:
“Didn’t You tell me: if I follow Your path, You will not leave me?” But I noticed that during the most difficult times of my life, only one chain of footprints stretched across the sand. Why did You abandon me when I needed You most? The Lord answered:
- My dear, dear child. I love you and will never leave you. When there were sorrows and trials in your life, only one chain of footprints stretched along the road. Because in those days I carried you in my arms.

Dream.

While flying the plane on one of the routes, the pilot turned to his friend and partner:
- Look down at this beautiful lake. I was born not far from him, my village is over there.
He pointed to a small village, which, as if on a roost, was located on the hills not far from the lake, and remarked:
- I was born there. As a child, I often sat by the lake and fished. Fishing was my favorite pastime. But when I was a child fishing in the lake, there were always airplanes flying in the sky. They flew over my head, and I dreamed of the day when I could become a pilot myself and fly an airplane. This was my only dream. Now it has come true.
And now, every time I look down at that lake, I dream of the time when I will retire and go fishing again. After all, my lake is so beautiful...

Lame kitten.

The seller of one small store posted a “Kittens for sale” sign at the entrance. This inscription attracted the attention of the children, and within minutes a boy entered the store. Having greeted the seller, he timidly asked about the price of the kittens.
“From 30 to 50 rubles,” answered the seller.
Sighing, the child reached into his pocket, took out his wallet and began to count the change.
“I only have 20 rubles now,” he said sadly. “Please, can I at least take a look at them,” he asked the seller hopefully.
The seller smiled and took the kittens out of the large box.
Once free, the kittens meowed contentedly and began to run. Only one of them, for some reason, clearly lagged behind everyone else. And somehow strangely he pulled up his hind leg.
- Tell me, what’s wrong with this kitten? - asked the boy.
The seller replied that this kitten has a congenital defect of the paw. “It’s for life, that’s what the vet said.” - the man added.
Then for some reason the boy became very worried.
- This is what I would like to buy.
- What, boy, are you laughing? This is a defective animal. Why do you need it? However, if you are so merciful, then take it for free, I will give it to you anyway,” said the seller.
Here, to the seller’s surprise, the boy’s face lengthened.
“No, I don’t want to take it for nothing,” the child said in a tense voice.
- This kitten costs exactly the same as the others. And I'm ready to pay full price. I'll bring it to you money “,” he added firmly.
Looking at the child in amazement, the seller’s heart trembled.
- Son, you just don’t understand everything. This poor thing will never be able to run, play and jump like other kittens.
At these words, the boy began to roll up the leg of his left leg. And then the amazed seller saw that the boy’s leg was terribly twisted and supported by metal hoops.
The child looked at the seller.
- I, too, will never be able to run and jump. And this kitten needs someone who would understand how hard it is for him, and who would support him,” the boy said in a trembling voice.
The man behind the counter began to bite his lips. Tears filled his eyes... After a short silence, he forced himself to smile.
- Son, I will pray that all kittens will have such wonderful, warm-hearted owners like you.

… In reality, WHO you are is not as important as the fact that there is SOMEONE who will truly appreciate you for who you are, who will accept and love you without any reservations. After all, the one who comes to you, at that time how the whole world leaves AWAY from you, and there is a true Friend.

Cups of coffee.

A group of graduates of a prestigious university, successful ones who have made a wonderful career, came to visit their old professor. During the visit, the conversation turned to work: graduates complained about numerous difficulties and life problems.
Having offered his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a coffee pot and a tray filled with a variety of cups: porcelain, glass, plastic, crystal. Some were simple, others expensive.
When the graduates took apart the cups, the professor said:
— Please note that all the beautiful cups were taken apart, while the simple and cheap ones remained. And although it is normal for you to want only the best for yourself, this is the source of your problems and stress. Understand that the cup itself does not make the coffee better. Most often it is simply more expensive, but sometimes it even hides what we drink. In reality, all you wanted was just coffee, not a cup. But you deliberately chose the best cups, and then looked at who got which cup.
Now think: life is coffee, and work, money, position, society are cups. These are just tools for maintaining and maintaining Life. What kind of cup we have does not determine or change the quality of our Life. Sometimes, when we focus only on the cup, we forget to enjoy the taste of the coffee itself.

The happiest people are not those who have everything best, but those who make the best of what they have.

Your cross(Christian parable).

One person thought that his life was very difficult. And one day he went to God, told about his misfortunes and asked him:
- Can I choose a different cross for myself?
God looked at the man with a smile, led him into the storage room where there were crosses, and said:
- Choose.
A man entered the storage room, looked and was surprised: “There are so many crosses here - small, large, medium, heavy, and light.” The man walked around the storehouse for a long time, looking for the smallest and lightest cross, and finally found a small, small, light, light cross, approached God and said:
- God, can I have this one?
“It’s possible,” God answered. - This is your own.

Glass in outstretched hand.

The professor began his lesson by taking a glass with a small amount of water in his hand. He held it up so that everyone could see it and asked the students:
- How much do you think this glass weighs?
“50 grams, 100 grams, 125 grams,” answered the students.
“I really won’t know until I weigh it,” said the professor, “but my question is this: what would happen if I held it like this for a few minutes?”
“Nothing,” said the students.
- Okay, what would happen if I held it like this for an hour? - asked the professor.
“Your arm would start to hurt,” said one of the students.
“You’re right, but what would happen if I held it all day?”
“Your arm would go numb, you would have severe muscle breakdown and paralysis, and you would have to go to the hospital just in case.”
- Very good. But while we were discussing here, has the weight of the glass changed? - asked the professor.
- No.
- What makes your hand hurt and causes muscle disorder?
The students were puzzled.
- What do I need to do to fix all this? - the professor asked again.
“Put down the glass,” said one of the students.
- Exactly! - said the professor. “It’s always like that with life’s problems.” Just think about them for a few minutes and they will be with you. Think about them any longer and they start to itch. If you think any longer, they will paralyze you. There's nothing you can do.
It is important to think about problems in life, but even more important is to be able to put them off: at the end of the working day, the next day. This way you don’t get tired, you wake up fresh and strong every day. And you can manage any problem, any kind of challenge that comes your way.

Everything is in your hands(eastern parable)

A long time ago, in an ancient city there lived a Master, surrounded by disciples. The most capable of them once thought: “Is there a question that our Master could not answer?” He went to a flowering meadow, caught the most beautiful butterfly and hid it between his palms. The butterfly clung to his hands with its paws, and the student was ticklish. Smiling, he approached the Master and asked:
- Tell me, what kind of butterfly is in my hands: alive or dead?
He held the butterfly tightly in his closed palms and was ready at any moment to squeeze them for the sake of his truth.
Without looking at the student’s hands, the Master answered:
- Everything is in your hands.

Fragile gifts(parable from M. Shirochkina).

Once upon a time, an old wise man came to one village and stayed to live. He loved children and spent a lot of time with them. He also loved to give them gifts, but only gave them fragile things. No matter how hard the children tried to be careful, their new toys often broke. The children were upset and cried bitterly. Some time passed, the sage again gave them toys, but even more fragile.
One day his parents couldn’t stand it and came to him:
“You are wise and wish only the best for our children.” But why do you give them such gifts? They try their best, but the toys still break and the children cry. But the toys are so beautiful that it’s impossible not to play with them.
“Very few years will pass,” the elder smiled, “and someone will give them his heart.” Maybe this will teach them to handle this priceless gift a little more carefully?

This section contains clever parables about living with morality and about goodness, parables that contain hidden wisdom:

Once upon a time, an old Indian told his grandson one vital truth. There is a struggle in every person, very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil - envy, jealousy, regret, selfishness, betrayal, lies... The other wolf represents good - peace, love, hope, truth, kindness, loyalty...

The little Indian, touched to the depths of his soul by his grandfather’s words, thought for a moment, and then asked: “Which wolf wins in the end?” The old Indian smiled and replied:
“The wolf you feed always wins.”

Moral of the parable : a person chooses for himself whether to be good or evil.

The little bird flew south. It became very cold, the bird froze and fell on the field. A cow walked by and dumped a large pile on it. The bird at first wanted to be indignant, but the pile was large and warm, and it decided to warm itself up and began to chirp. A cat passing by heard singing. When he saw the bird, he pulled it out, shook it off and ate it!

Moral of the parable : If someone shits on you, it does not mean that he is your enemy. Just because someone got you out of trouble doesn't mean they are your friend.
When you feel good, sit and don't tweet.

Three people were moving stones. One of them was asked: “What are you doing?” He wiped the sweat from his forehead and answered: “I’m hunched over.” They approached the second one and asked: “What are you doing?”
He rolled up his sleeves and said busily: “I’m making money!”
They asked the third: “What are you doing?”
He looked up and answered: “I’m building a temple.”

Moral of the parable : life is filled with meaning for those who pursue a great goal.

Three butterflies, flying up to a burning candle, began to talk about the nature of fire. One, flying up to the flame, returned and said: “The fire is shining!”
Another flew closer and scorched the wing. Arriving back, she said:
- “It burns!”
The third, flying very close, disappeared in the fire and did not return. She found out what she wanted to know, but she could no longer tell the rest about it.

Moral of the parable: The one who receives knowledge is deprived of the opportunity to talk about it, so the one who knows is silent, and the one who speaks does not know. (Persian Parable)

Near the road stood the trunk of a dried tree. At night a thief passed by and was frightened: he thought that it was a policeman standing waiting for him. A young man in love passed by, and his heart beat joyfully: he mistook the tree for his beloved. The child, frightened by scary fairy tales, burst into tears when he saw the tree: he thought it was a ghost. But in all cases the tree was just a tree.

Moral of the parable: We see the world as we ourselves are.

Parable “On the Onion” by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky.

Once upon a time there lived a feisty, despising woman, and she died. And not a single virtue remained after her. The devils grabbed her and threw her into the lake of fire. And her guardian angel stands and thinks: what kind of virtue can I remember to tell God?

He remembered and said to God: she, he says, pulled out an onion in the garden and gave it to a beggar. And God answers him: take, he says, this very onion, stretch it into the lake, let it grab hold and stretch, and if you pull it out of the lake, then let it go to heaven, but if the onion breaks, then the woman will stay there, where Now.

The angel ran to the woman and handed her the onion: here, the woman said, grab it and reach out. And he began to carefully pull it, and was about to pull it all out, but the other sinners in the lake saw that it was being pulled out, and they all began to grab onto it so that they would be pulled out along with it. But the woman was furious and contemptuous and she began to kick their legs: “They are pulling me, not you, my onion, not yours.”

As soon as she said this, the onion broke. And the woman fell into the lake and is burning to this day. And the angel cried and walked away. (parable of the onion by Fyodor Dostoevsky)

Moral of the parable: do good to people, do not refuse to help those in need. Maybe your action will be the very “onion” that, someday, will help you out or even save you. And even the worst people can find at least one good deed in life, which means they also have a chance to be saved. When you are thinking about whether to help or not to help, remember this parable.

Once upon a time, the great Shah ordered the construction of a beautiful palace. From some mirrors, every sound there echoed loudly.
One day a dog ran into this hall and froze in amazement - a whole pack surrounded it from all sides, above and below. The dog bared its teeth, and the reflection responded in kind.

Frightened, she barked desperately. Echo did not lag behind. The dog rushed about, biting the air, and its reflection also rushed around, clicking its teeth. In the morning, the servants found the unfortunate animal lifeless, surrounded by millions of reflections of dead dogs. There was no one in the room who could cause her any harm. The dog died fighting his own reflection.

Moral of the parable : The world itself does not bring us any good or evil. He is indifferent to people. Everything that happens around us is just a reflection of our own thoughts, feelings, desires and actions.

This page contains wise parables about life with morality, about goodness, about peace, short and long.

Parables are the real art of words getting right into the heart. It is useful to re-read them from time to time and think about the most important things.

Every person is the solution to someone else's problem

“Every person on Earth is the solution to someone else’s problem,” my wise grandmother once said.
I was very surprised by her words.
“You are the solution to someone’s problem,” she repeated.
And she explained:
– The gift that was given to you may not be needed by everyone, but, of course, someone simply needs it - your smile, your love, your strength.

What you order is what you get...

An irritated woman rides on a trolleybus and thinks:
- Passengers are boors and rude people. The husband is a drunken bastard. Children are losers and hooligans. And I am so poor and unhappy...

A guardian angel stands behind her with a notebook and writes everything down point by point:
1. Passengers are boors and rude people.
2. The husband is a drunken brute... etc.

Then I reread it and thought:
- And why does she need this? But if he orders it, we will fulfill it...

Why do people scream?

One day the Teacher asked the students:
Why do people raise their voices when they quarrel?
“They’re probably losing their calm,” the students suggested.
– But why raise your voice if the second person is next to you? - asked the Teacher.

The students shrugged their shoulders in bewilderment. It never even occurred to them. Then the teacher said:
– When people quarrel and discontent between them increases, their hearts move away. And along with them, their souls move away. They have to raise their voices to hear each other. And the stronger their resentment and anger, the louder they scream. What happens when people are in love? They do not raise their voices, but speak very quietly. Their hearts are very close, and the distance between them is almost completely erased.

– What happens when people are ruled by love? – asked the Teacher. “They don’t even speak, they just whisper. And sometimes no words are needed - their eyes say it all. Do not forget that quarrels distance you from each other, and words spoken in a raised tone increase this distance many times over. Do not abuse this, because the day will come when the distance between you will increase so much that you will no longer find a way back.

Greatest Wisdom

One night, in the province where the monastery was located, there was heavy snowfall. In the morning, the students, literally wading through waist-deep snow, gathered in the meditation hall.

The teacher gathered the students and asked: “Tell me, what do we need to do now?”

The first student said: “We should pray for a thaw to begin.”
The second suggested: “We need to wait it out in our cell, and let the snow take its course.”
The third said: “He who knows the truth should not care whether there is snow or not.”

The teacher said: “Now listen to what I tell you.”
The disciples prepared to listen to the greatest wisdom.
The teacher looked around at them, sighed and said: “Shovels in hands - and forward!”

Morality: Don't forget what really works - action!

Parable about grievances

The student asked the teacher:
-You are so wise. You're always in good mood, never get angry. Help me to be like that too.
The teacher agreed and asked the student to bring potatoes and a transparent bag.

“If you get angry with someone and harbor a grudge,” said the teacher, “then take a potato.” Write on it the name of the person with whom the conflict occurred, and put these potatoes in a bag.
– Is that all? – the student asked in bewilderment.
“No,” answered the teacher. - You should always do this carry a package with you. And every time you are offended by someone, add potatoes to it.

The student agreed. Some time passed. The student's bag was replenished with potatoes and became quite heavy. It was very inconvenient to always carry it with you. In addition, the potatoes that he put in at the very beginning began to spoil. It became covered with a slippery nasty coating, some sprouted, some bloomed and began to emit a sharp, unpleasant odor.

The student came to the teacher and said:
– It’s no longer possible to carry this with you. Firstly, the bag is too heavy, and secondly, the potatoes have spoiled. Suggest something different.

But the teacher replied:
- The same thing happens to you. You just don't notice it right away. Actions turn into habits, habits into character, which gives rise to fetid vices. I gave you the opportunity to observe this process from the outside. Every time you decide to be offended or, conversely, offend someone, think about whether you need this burden.

Parable of the Seeker

One wise old man took the boy to the zoo.
– Do you see these monkeys?
- Yeah.
– Do you see the one over there fussing around and looking for fleas from other monkeys?
- Yes.
– This monkey is “seeking”! She considers the rest a lice-infested herd and tries to “cleanse” everyone.
- What about the others?
- Nothing, they just itch sometimes. Or they don't itch.
-Who cleanses the “seeker”?
- Nobody. That's why she's the lousiest...

Which in a different form contains some moral teachings, teachings (for example, the wisest parables of the Gospels or Solomon), some wise thoughts (parables). Officially, it is a small genre of didactic fiction. Many people equate the wisest parables with fables. This article reveals the concept of “parable”. In addition, wise short parables are given.

What is a parable?

A parable is not so much a story as a cautionary tale. Many wise thoughts and parables have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. And this is no coincidence: in each such story there are various parables: for example, the wise. Thanks to them, people learn the secrets of life and gain access to an awareness of world laws. Moreover, the uniqueness of parables lies in the fact that they do not “load” the reader’s consciousness, but very easily and unobtrusively convey to a person something valuable, a hidden truth.

parables of Abul Faraj

The famous Abul Faraj said that a parable is “a story that refreshes the mind and removes pain and sadness from the heart.” Abul Faraj himself retold the wisest parables from all over the world.

Father's Insight

Remembering wise parables about life, it is impossible not to tell such a story. One day the doorbell rang and the man went to answer it. His daughter stood on the threshold with her eyes full of tears. Having entered the house, she spoke first: “I can’t live like this anymore, it’s getting harder and harder. It’s as if every day I climb a huge mountain, and in the morning I start the procession again from the very foot. Father, what will happen next, how can I not give up?”

He didn’t answer, he just went to the stove and put three saucepans filled with clean spring water on it, placing a carrot and a chicken egg in each one in turn and pouring coffee powder into the last one. After 10 minutes, he poured coffee into the girl’s cup, and put carrots and eggs on the saucer. As soon as she raised a cup of aromatic drink to her face, the man asked her a question:

My daughter, what has changed in these objects?
- Fresh carrots have cooked and become softer. The coffee dissolved without a trace. The egg was hard boiled.
- You appreciated only the paramount, but let's look at it from the other side. The strong and tough root crop became pliable and softened. As for the egg, outwardly it retained its face, like the carrot, but its internal liquid environment became much harder and more collected. The coffee immediately began to dissolve when it got into the hot water, saturating it with its taste and aroma, which you are now enjoying. This is exactly what can happen in the life of each of us. Strong people will weaken under the yoke of gravity, and fragile and offended people will rise to their feet and no longer give up their hands.
- What about coffee, what does its transformation teach us? - the daughter asked with timid interest.
- These are the brightest representatives of worldly life, having accepted circumstances that are difficult at first glance, they become close to what is happening, while giving each problem a piece of their taste and aroma. These are special people who, overcoming every stage of their life, draw something new, giving the world the beauty of their soul.

Parables and Parable of the Rose

A mighty wind blew across the world and knew no worldly feelings and desires. But one sunny and gentle summer day he met a red rose, which looked even more beautiful with its light breeze. The beautiful petals responded to the light breezes with a sweet, delicate aroma and bloom. It seemed to the wind that he was not expressing his devotion enough to the fragile plant, then he blew with all his power, forgetting about the tenderness that the flower needed. Unable to withstand such a harsh and stormy pressure, the slender and living stem broke. The mighty wind tried to resurrect his love and restore its former bloom, but it was too late. The impulses subsided, the former tenderness and softness returned, which enveloped the dying body of the young rose, she was losing her life faster and faster.

Then the wind howled: “I gave you all my strength, great love! How could you break so easily?! It turns out that the strength of your love was not enough to stay with me forever.”

Rose only spent her last seconds with the same scent, responding to passionate speeches with silence.

Don't shed your tears in vain

One day, an old but very wise lecturer, reading yet another scientific work, suddenly stopped. Taking a liberating pose, he heard from the back desks:

Instead, the lecturer began to tell a long and colorful joke, and everyone sitting, without exception, laughed. When the audience fell silent, he told the same story again, but only a few smiled. The others had a question on their faces that hung in the air. Repeating itself for the third time, the silent scene dragged on for a long time. No one in the audience even smiled; on the contrary, everyone was in a suspended and incomprehensible state.

Guys, why couldn't you laugh at my joke three times? You are sad every day over the same problem.

The professor smiled, and everyone sitting in the audience thought about their lives.

Fate

One fine day, a wise wanderer came to the outskirts of a small town. He settled in a small hotel and every day received many people who were lost in their own lives.

One young man spent a long time looking for an answer to his fate in books, visiting many elders. Some advised going with the flow, avoiding problems and troubles. Others, on the contrary, said that swimming against the current means gaining strength, finding yourself. He decided to try his luck and listen to the advice of this old man.
Entering the room, the young man saw a man who was looking for something in the chest. He turned around for a moment and pointed with his hand at the chair standing by the table.

Tell me what’s bothering you, I’ll listen and give you advice.

The young man told him about visiting other sages, reading books and giving advice.

Go with the flow or against it? - at the end of the story he said.
- Forgive me, well done, I probably listened due to my old age and deafness. Where do you want to go? - the wanderer asked without looking up from his work.

The power of words

A blind old man sat on the street with a sign, begging for alms from passers-by. There were only a few moments in his box, the summer sun falling on his long, thin legs. At this time, a charming young woman passed by, who, stopping for a moment, picked up a sign and wrote something herself. The old man only moved his head, but did not say anything after her.

An hour later the girl was walking back, he recognized her by her hasty and light steps. The box at that time was full of new shiny coins, which were added every minute by people passing by.

Dear girl, were you the one who changed my sign? I'd like to know what it says.
- There is nothing written there but the truth, I just corrected it slightly. It reads: “It’s so beautiful now, but unfortunately I will never be able to see it.” After tossing a couple of coins, the girl gave the old man a smile and left.

Happiness

Three simple men were walking along the road on a summer day. They talked about their difficult life and sang songs. They hear that somewhere someone will forgive help, look into the hole, and there is happiness.

I will fulfill any of your wishes! Say what you want to get, - happiness turns to the first man.
“So as not to live in poverty until the end of your days,” the man answers her.
His wish was fulfilled and he went towards the village with a bag of money.
- What do you want? - happiness turned to the second man.
- Babu, I want all the girls to be more beautiful!

Immediately the beauty appeared next to him, the man grabbed her, and also went to the village.

What is your desire? - Happiness asks the last guy.
- And what do you want? - says the man.
“I wish I could get out of the hole, good fellow,” happiness said timidly.

The man looked around, found a long log, and fortunately tilted it. He turned around and began to return to the village. Happiness quickly emerged and ran after him, accompanying him through life.

Guiding light

In ancient times, when there were still no World Wide Web networks and various engines, people went sailing on simple ships. Then one risky team went on a long journey full of dangers.

A few days later, their ship was caught in a storm and sank, and only a couple of experienced sailors managed to escape. They woke up on a distant unfamiliar island, gradually losing their minds in fear and hunger.

One particularly sunny day, an alien ship docked there. This brought immense joy to the rescued, and they decided to build a tall and durable lighthouse.
Despite the persuasion, they remained on this island until the end of their days, only rejoicing in their destiny. Guiding people became a great happiness and honor for each of them.

The wisest parables presented in this article really do not burden the reader’s consciousness, but very easily and unobtrusively convey to a person something valuable, a hidden truth.

A parable about a life lesson

Father and son walked through the mountains. The boy tripped over a stone, fell, hit himself painfully and shouted:
- Aaaaaaay!!!
And then he heard a voice from somewhere behind the mountain that repeated after him:
- Aaaaaaay!!!
Curiosity prevailed over fear, and the boy shouted:
-Who's there?
And I received the answer:
-Who's there?
Angry, he shouted:
- Coward!
And I heard:
- Coward!
The boy looked at his father and asked:
- Dad, what is this?
The man, smiling, shouted:
- Son, I love you!
And the voice answered:
- Son, I love you!
The man shouted:
– You are the best!
And the voice answered:
– You are the best!
The child was surprised and did not understand anything. Then his father explained to him:
“People call it an echo, but in reality it is life. Returns to you everything you say and do.
Morality:
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love from the world, give more love to those around you. If you wish happiness, give happiness to those around you. If you want a smile from your heart, smile from your heart to those you know. This applies to all aspects of life: it returns to us everything that we gave it. Our lives are not coincidences, but a reflection of ourselves.

One famous artist painted his next painting. On the day of its presentation to the public, many journalists, photographers, and famous people gathered. When the time came, the artist threw off the covering cloth from the painting. An explosion of applause followed.
The painting showed the figure of Jesus knocking lightly on the door of a house. Jesus seemed alive. He leaned his ear to the door, as if he wanted to hear if someone inside the house was answering him.
Everyone admired the beautiful work of art. One curious visitor found an error in the painting. The door had neither a lock nor a handle. He turned to the artist:
- But this door seems to be locked from the inside, it has no handle, how can you enter it?
“It is so,” answered the author of the painting. – This is the door of a person’s heart. It can only open from the inside.
Morality:
We all expect Love, Joy, Compassion, Happiness, Success in our lives. But in order for them to appear in our lives, we cannot sit idly by. Action needs to be taken. At least just open the door...

Parable about friendship

There were two neighbors. The first one bought a rabbit for his children. The children of another neighbor asked to buy some kind of pet for them too. Their father bought them a German Shepherd puppy.
Then the first said to the second:
- But he will eat my rabbit!
- No, think about it, my shepherd is a puppy, and your rabbit is still a child. They will grow up together and become friends. There won't be any problems.
And it looked like the dog's owner was right. They grew up together and became friends. It was normal to see a rabbit in a dog's yard and vice versa. The children were happy.
One day, the rabbit's owner and his family went away for the weekend, and the rabbit was left alone. It was Friday. On Sunday evening, the dog's owner and his family were drinking tea on the veranda when their huge dog walked in. In his teeth he held a rabbit: battered, dirty with blood and dirt, and, worst of all, dead. The owners attacked their dog and almost killed the dog.
- The neighbor was right. What now? We just needed this. They will return in a few hours. What to do?
Everyone looked at each other. The poor dog whined and cried, licking his wounds.
– Can you imagine what will happen to their children?
One of the children came up with an idea:
- Let's give him a good bath, dry him with a hairdryer and put him in his house in the yard.
Since the rabbit was not torn, they did so. They put the rabbit in his house, laid his head on his paws, it seemed that he was sleeping. And then they heard that the neighbors were returning. The dog's owners rushed into their house and closed the doors. A few minutes later they heard children screaming. Found it! A couple of minutes later there was a knock on their door. The rabbit's owner stood pale and frightened on the threshold. It seemed as if he had met a ghost.
- What's happened? What's wrong with you? – asked the dog’s owner.
- Rabbit... rabbit...
- Died? And this afternoon he seemed so cheerful!
– He died on Friday!
- On Friday?
“Before we left, the children buried him at the end of the garden!” And now he lies in his house again!
The dog, who had been searching for his missing childhood friend since Friday, finally found him and dug him up to save him. And he took it to his owners so that they could help.
Morality:
You should never judge in advance, without checking what actually happened.

One day, a butterfly pupa fell into the hands of a man. He took her and looked at her for several hours, seeing how she struggled to squeeze her body out of the small hole in the cocoon. Time passed, she kept trying to get out of the cocoon, but there was no progress. It seemed that she was completely exhausted and could no longer do it... Then the man decided to help the butterfly. He took the scissors and cut the cocoon all the way. The butterfly came out of it easily, but its body was somewhat atrophied, small, and its wings were folded and compressed. The man continued to watch her, he expected that at any moment she would open her wings and fly.
But this did not happen. Until the end of its days, the butterfly was left with a deformed body and glued wings. She could never spread her wings and fly.
The man did not know that the hard cocoon and the incredible efforts made by the butterfly to exit the small hole were necessary for the body to take the correct shape and for forces to enter the wings through the strong body and be ready to fly as soon as it was freed from the cocoon.
Morality:
Don't help if you don't know how or if you're not sure that your help will really be useful. Don't interfere with the nature of things you didn't create. Otherwise, you might just do some harm.

The Parable of the Nail Marks

One boy had a very bad character. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he offended someone, he should hammer one nail into the fence.
On the first day the boy hammered thirty-seven nails. In the following days, as he began to learn to control his anger, he began to hammer in fewer and fewer nails. He made the discovery that it was easier to restrain himself than to hammer a nail in later. The day came when he was able to completely control his temper during that day. His father said that now for every day that he managed to restrain himself, let him pull out one nail from the fence.
Days passed, and then one day there was not a single nail left in the door. The father took his son by the hand, led him to the fence and said: “It’s clear, son, that you worked hard, but look how many holes are left in the tree. It will never be the same again.”
Morality:
Every time you hurt someone, it leaves scars. You can say something bad to someone and then take it back, but the scars will remain forever. Let us be careful when we say anything.
