High-quality hair styling after bio-perm. How to style hair after bio-perm: description of styling products and styling methods Hair care after bio-perm

  • 20.09.2023

I got a bio-perm for the first time in 2012. I have thick hair, but the hair itself is thin and light. Therefore, various styling and hairstyles hold up very well. But straightening them so that they were hair to hair never worked; some of the strands curled and the result was “neither this nor that.” And straight hair doesn’t suit me at all, so almost all the time I curled it with spiral-shaped thermal curlers. The task, of course, is tedious and of little benefit to the hair.

It took me a long time to decide on a bio-perm. But still curiosity overcame doubts. I went to the hairdresser near my house, where I always got my hair cut. The cost of the procedure was only 1000 rubles. It took a long time, but the effect amazed me. The curls looked natural, as if they were their own. The smell of chemicals lingered for quite a long time, then dry hair stopped smelling, but wet hair continued to smell. The curl lasted for six months, then gradually my hair began to straighten, and the transition between straight and wavy hair was invisible. But now, taking into account experience, I realized that the master did not do everything correctly, the composition was very dubious, although for such a price one could expect something similar. Well, she didn’t explain at all how to care for them.

As a result, on the recommendation of a friend, I switched to another master, in another beauty salon. I immediately appreciated the level of the master by how long she took to cut my hair, the result was hair to hair, the bangs were simply amazing, I didn’t even have to style them, they lay just right. As a result, it was decided to do the bioperm here. Cost 2700 rub. And now, for the 4th year now I have been doing a bioperm. According to the following scheme: once every 2 years - perm the hair along the entire length, and in between, once every 6-8 months, bio-perm only the regrown roots. This way the hair gets less damage.

The curling procedure took 2-2.5 hours and consisted of the following steps:

Preparatory:

Do not dye your hair 2-3 weeks, or even better, a month before the perm. Perming freshly dyed hair will be problematic.

This is what my hair looked like 8 months after the last one basal biochemistry (at the end of the review there will be a photo showing the condition of the hair six months after bio-curling along the entire length)

Bio-curling process:

  1. First, they washed my hair with a special shampoo.
  2. Curling hair with bobbins. The master selected the largest ones for me. About 30 minutes. For those with bangs, a piece of advice: don’t curl your bangs, otherwise straightening them will simply be a pain later.
  3. Application of a special composition. They wrapped a towel around my forehead to prevent the composition from getting on my face. The procedure is notable for its unpleasant pungent odor. But what can you do? This lasts about 5-10 minutes in total.
  4. Then comes the agonizing wait. About 30 minutes. The master periodically came up, removed the bobbin and assessed the curl. If everything is fine, then proceed to the sink.
  5. Apply the fixing agent and again wait 10-15 minutes.
  6. Wash off the composition. First, right in the bobbins. Then the bobbins were removed and the hair was washed several times with shampoo, then with conditioner.
  7. Gently dry your hair with a towel.
  8. We applied foam for curly hair and dried it a little with a diffuser, but not completely. I ran home in a headscarf to let my hair dry naturally.

The result is a beauty!

The final stage:

Do not wash your hair for 2-3 days after treatment, and do not wear any metal hair clips during this time.

After 2-3 weeks you need to come for a haircut. As the master explained to me, why it is necessary to get a haircut not before, nor during, but after the biowave. During application of the composition, the ends of the hair get the most. 2-3 weeks after the procedure, the master assesses the condition of the hair and recommends how many centimeters should be removed from the ends. For me it’s usually 2-3 cm. Therefore, I calculate that after the last haircut it will take 2 months before the biochemistry, then I do the chemistry and after 3 weeks I remove the dry ends.

The chemical smell lasts until the first wash.

In order for a bioperm to look good, you need to follow a few simple rules for caring for it.

  1. First of all, you can forget about hair brushes and fine-tooth combs. Now the main tool is a comb with sparse teeth.

  2. Shampoo, it doesn’t matter what kind.
  3. The most important thing is to use conditioner or conditioner, the choice of which should be approached very responsibly. My favorite is the Shiseido Tsubaki damage care conditioner. The pleasure is not cheap, but it lasts me a long time and periodically in Letual you can buy it at a discount.
  4. It is better not to use a hairdryer. It is better to let your hair dry naturally. I only use a hairdryer to style my bangs. Below I will write how to dry your hair with a hairdryer if you really need to dry it quickly and quickly get rid of the frizziness.
  5. After washing your hair, apply foam to damp hair to form curls. Why is this needed? So that the hair is not disheveled, does not fluff, and there is no mess on the head and the curls keep their shape. Apply a little product to your palms and, starting from the ends, squeeze your hair, forming curls. When the hair is dry, visually after the foam there will be a “wet hair effect”. Here it’s up to whoever likes it more. Since I prefer a natural look, after drying I simply comb my hair again with a comb or just with my hands. This way the strands glued together with foam will fall apart, but then they will gather again into natural curls.
  6. I always use only one product: Estel Professional always on-line foam for creating curls.

    After curling, you can wash your hair much less often, literally 1-2 times a week.

    As for daily care. I have already told you what to do after washing your hair.

    Now regarding morning exercise every day. From experience, I can say that when you wake up, go to the mirror, you look pretty rumpled, especially if you go to bed with wet hair.

    What to do to give it its original look. To begin, simply comb your hair with a comb. Next, you need to lightly wet your hair with your hands along the entire length, the roots are not necessary. There is also no need to apply foam, because it remains on the hair until the next shampoo. Squeeze your hair with your hands and apply hair spray. I used to use pantene pro-v intensive recovery spray, but it ran out quickly and was not cheap. In principle, any spray will do; I chose Shamptu. For dry ends, before the first haircut after biochemistry, I sometimes apply Kharizma Voltage moisturizing serum. So, you get the effect of wet hair again. After this procedure, the hair dries in 15-20 minutes, this is just time to get dressed and have breakfast in the morning. Then I comb it again with my hands and it’s done. Shiny, vibrant, natural curls. This takes 5-10 minutes. By the way, I took an example from a friend who has naturally curly hair. She always combs them just with her hands and water.

    What to do if you urgently need to wash your hair and immediately run outside. How to dry. Option 2, just a hairdryer or a hairdryer with a diffuser. In any case, the curls will become disheveled. Then you need, as I wrote above, apply hair spray or moisten it a little with water and squeeze with your hands. This way the curls will quickly take on the desired shape.

    Photo where I just wet my hair with my hands. I washed my hair 3 days ago and the foam still works.

    To sum it up:

    Bio-curling hair is not a useful procedure at all. Hair becomes drier. Therefore, to avoid a “broom” on the head and complete chaos, you need to take better care of them. I can also recommend sometimes making masks with oils. There are plenty of recipes on the Internet.

    How long the curl will last depends on your hair type. My hair grows faster at the roots than my curls straighten. Therefore, I do root biochemistry once every 6-7 months, and once every 2 years - along the entire length.

    To avoid problems, you need to find a good master. Based on reviews or through friends.

    In general, biowave makes life much easier for those who love curls. You just need to follow a few simple rules and you are guaranteed a romantic look.

    The best part is that no one even realizes that this is a bioperm; they think that it’s theirs.

    Small addition

    By the way, here is a photo of the condition of the hair 6 months after bio-curling along the entire length:

    It can be seen that the hair has grown back, but still the border is not so noticeable.

    Now about the mousse for curls.

    Got2be by Shwarzkopf "Trap, Double Torque"

    Volume 250 ml

    The price in the Perekrestok supermarket is 363 rubles.

    Perfectly holds curls.

    Airex Estel Professional

    The volume is significantly larger than previous bottles - as much as 400 ml!

    I ordered through the online store for 420 rubles

    I really liked it too, the result is excellent. But, since the bottle is very large, you can’t take it on a trip. So I have Estel only for home use, and Got2be for business trips and vacations.

    And still I liked Got2be the best.

    Biowave hair during pregnancy

    Doctors say that pregnancy is not a disease. And that you shouldn’t give up your usual cosmetic procedures. Of course, you shouldn’t dye your hair and apply gel polish to your nails every day. But no one does that. Biowave, which is done once every few months, is also not a procedure that can harm the baby. But due to changes in the mother’s hormonal background, it may simply not work out. There is a risk that the hair will remain straight.

    I spent a lot of time trying to find information on the Internet about whether I should perm in an interesting position or not. But there's a vacation ahead. And I decided to take a risk.

    And what can I say - everything is 100% individual. When I came for the procedure, my term was 3 months. Six months have passed, and the curls are still there, only the roots have already grown.

    There is never too much beauty. Eyelash extensions will go beautifully with curls: “Eyelash extensions are very beautiful and convenient! BUT they are addictive! Eyelash extensions during pregnancy.”

Curly curls suit all face shapes, visually refresh the image and add romance to it. Bio-curling hair allows you to achieve a long-lasting effect of curly strands with one procedure and forget about the difficulties of styling for at least six months.

What is biowave hair

Bioperm– a modern hair curling technique that does not use harsh chemical components. The procedure is carried out using special formulations, in which about 60% of the components are natural. Of course, it cannot be said that a biological perm consists entirely of natural ingredients, but the percentage of synthetic additives in them is much less than in a perm.

The main ingredient in almost all curling products is cysteamine. This is a synthetic acid similar to cysteine. It is necessary to remove excess sulfur and improve their structure. It is this compound that gives the curls an unpleasant odor after the procedure, but at the same time it also helps to improve their condition.

Advantages of biowave:

  • Relative safety. Of course, this procedure cannot be called completely harmless, but hair suffers less from perming with biologically active components than from regular styling with a curling iron or flat iron;
  • The curls can be straightened. If you get tired of wearing the same hairstyle all the time, you can simply straighten your curls with a straightener. Unlike perm, after which the strands look like tow, biological effects do not spoil the structure. After subsequent washing, the curls will return to their curled shape;
  • Any products used for the procedure slightly dry out the skin at the roots. For those with dry hair, this is a minus, but for girls with combination or oily hair, it is a significant plus. Because of this, they will become much less dirty, the greasy roots will be almost invisible even after 5 days;
  • Long lasting effect. If you provide proper care, the result of the perm will please you for at least six months. Then, as the curls grow, you can repeat the procedure;
  • After this perm, you can dye the roots and length. After chemistry, it is not recommended to have any effect on the strands at all, especially in the root zone. But what then should girls do who regularly touch up their growing roots? The biological composition of curling products solved this problem.

Despite all the advantages, the procedure also has some disadvantages.

Disadvantages of biowave:

  • Despite its naturalness, it still causes harm. The procedure is not suitable for everyone; some girls note that even with proper care, they experience massive split ends and hair loss;
  • The only way to completely get rid of the bio-perm effect is to get a haircut. The measures are radical, but effective. It is impossible to completely straighten damaged hair even a year after curling. If you are tired of growing tangles, just cut them off;
  • This technology ruins the hair structure. They may become porous or start to become very frizzy;
  • The procedure is not recommended during pregnancy due to the potential for harm to the fetus;
  • For several weeks after the perm, an unpleasant odor will emanate from your head (wet wool, socks, depending on your opinion). It is practically impossible to remove it. Neither professional shampoos nor rosemary infusions help. It just takes some time for cysteamine to be completely washed out of the curls;
  • The strands will require special restoration. Without it, after a month of regular blow-drying, they will look like a lump of stray hairs;
  • The procedure has contraindications. Biological perm is not carried out if you are breastfeeding, have inflammatory processes in the body, any diseases of the scalp, open wounds or scratches at the treatment sites.

Types of biowave

Beauty salons use various means for performing biowaves. The procedure is classified based on their active composition.

  1. Silk perm. The products contain silk proteins that restore shine and elasticity. The procedure is gentle, so it is recommended for girls with colored or bleached hair. It is also used to correct perms;
  2. Japanese bioperm includes not only essential amino acids, but also protein cocktails. Most often it is a mixture of collagen with artificial ingredients. It is used if the strands are thick and long, as it is known for its “stiffness”. The effect lasts for at least 5 months, after which correction is required;
  3. Italian biowave Mossa (Mossa), like acidic, allows you to get beautiful elastic curls with strong hold. Mainly used on short hair, but this technique is also suitable for bob and cascade haircuts. As a result, small curls are obtained, similar to African curls.

Perm is also classified according to the length for which it is performed.

Light large curls or luxurious Hollywood curls can add chic to any look. This hairstyle is ideal for short hair with a bob cut and those with a mane that reaches the lower back. The main difference between this method and others is the use of medium-fix protein mixtures made in Japan.

How to perform a biowave on large curls:

The resulting wavy strands should not be washed, braided or tied with elastic bands for the first three days. This is necessary for the fixing mixture to complete its effect.

Biowave for short hair

If you do not want to become the owner of large curls, then you can make small curls on short hair. They stay on the head much longer and help make “liquid” hair more voluminous. For this purpose, special papillots and strong fixation means are used, mainly made in Italy.

How to perform a biowave on short hair with bangs:

Bioperm for long and medium hair

As many reviews say, bio-curling straight long hair is the most complex and time-consuming of all the listed procedures. Due to their heaviness, their root zone is too close to the scalp, which affects the volume of the hairstyle. Even if you use strong hold products, the curls will quickly fall down.

To prevent this from happening, experts recommend working with Japanese compounds on long strands. They have a gentle effect on the hair, curling it into the desired shape, but without overloading it with synthetic substances. Later, with natural smoothing, the transition between the curled part and the regrown part becomes less obvious.

The whole technology is similar to curling large and small curls on short and medium hair.

But there are some secrets that only masters use professional beauty salons:

  • Bleached and colored hair lends itself better to curling, but it needs a gentle touch. For optimal effect, use a protein mixture or products with algae additives;
  • The procedure is not carried out on extended curls, because the reaction of the resin or glue used under the influence of the activator is unpredictable. The adhesive may fall off or, conversely, become indelible;
  • For long locks, it is best to use curlers with a diameter of 1.5 or more. This way the curls will turn out as natural as possible.

How to make a bioperm at home

It is no secret that this procedure is expensive. For shoulder length hair you will have to pay a minimum of $50. But if you buy a curling kit and do the session yourself, the investment will be minimal.

Step-by-step instructions on how to do a bio-perm at home with your own hands:

Required funds

To work, you will need kits for bio-curling hair, shampoo, conditioner or masks to restore strands, as well as oil for ends. To ensure that you are happy with the results for a long time and that your hair is minimally dry, it is important to choose the right curling product. Consider the list of the most popular:

Bio Permanent Niagara from Estel (Niagara Estel)- half synthetic composition with many advantages. It is suitable for hair that is difficult to curl, unruly locks, and for those with thick hair. It is a strong hold product, but can be used on both short and long hair. The active components are cysteamine and vitamin B5.

Biowave is an effective product with a medium degree of fixation. The fixer here is also saturated with cysteamine, but enriched with seaweed and mineral compounds. Well suited for curling colored hair.

– the composition is not particularly loved by consumers. Despite the name, the product contains aggressive compounds that are very harmful to the hair (ammonia derivatives).

How long does a biowave last?

Helpful Tips:

  • It is not possible to restore hair quickly, so the regeneration process is carried out gradually. During the first week you cannot make any deep-acting masks, but during the second week you can add a small amount of silicone mixtures when washing your curls;
  • Try to wash your hair only in the bathroom - when washed vertically, the curls are stretched and it will be more difficult for them to return to shape during drying;
  • Of course, the most difficult thing is to comb your curls. To make this process easier, use a wide-toothed comb and balm. You can also wash the spinning hair with colorless henna once a week;
  • Use special products for damaged or colored hair. There are a lot of these in the lines of Schwarzkopf, Garnier and others;
  • Don't let the curls dry out on their own. When drying with a diffuser, lift the curls, as it were - then they will be elastic and voluminous, like springs.

After 6 months, lamination or a professional keratin mask will help to finally restore the curls. These measures will finally straighten the strands. For correction, you can curl your hair at home using curlers, repeat the procedure, or do carving.

Owners of curly hair find it very convenient in everyday life: they don’t need to spend a lot of time on styling or be afraid of humid air. In addition, curly curls look more feminine than perfectly straight ones. To make sure, just look at the photos before and after biowave.

Many girls and women are trying to change something about themselves. And often experiments begin with hair. It has been noticed that girls with curls dream of perfectly straight hair, and their owners, in turn, want to acquire perfect curls. And if for the former it is enough to purchase a good straightening iron, then for the latter there is another solution - bio-hair perm.

Bio-perm or biological hair perming is a special procedure that turns your straight hair into curls. It can be done in almost any hairdresser, but we advise you to choose a good professional hairdresser.

This should be approached with all seriousness, since the result of a bio-perm depends on the hairdresser.

What is this procedure?

Stage 1

To begin with, the master carefully determines in order to select a special product for them.

Usually it comes in several types:

1. For natural hair
2. For hair that has previously suffered chemical exposure
3. For hair that is difficult to curl

Stage 2

Having chosen the product, the hairdresser winds the hair with bobbins. It should be taken into account that small curls will last longer on the hair than large and wavy curls.

Stage 3

The master unwinds the hair, removes the bobbins and applies a special equalizer to the hair, which is used after the bio-perm procedure. Thanks to him, the hair is polished and then shiny. Goes well with the bio-perm procedure.

Pros and cons of the procedure

pros This biological perm is that, unlike chemical perm, it is more gentle on the hair. The base contains biological protein, which makes the hair look better, improves its structure and appearance. The bio-perm procedure lasts for six months, and all this time the hair looks soft, strong and shiny.

Minuses are that the procedure is more expensive than a regular perm. But saving on it is highly not recommended; the consequences can be dire. Therefore, get a bio-perm at a good hairdresser. And one more thing: after the procedure, you need to wash your hair with a special shampoo for curly hair in order to maintain the result, then you need to use conditioner, and several times a week - a hair mask, preferably moisturizing.

Rules for styling after bio-perm

Style your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser, foams and gels. If you want to have straight hair again, after the next wash you need to straighten your hair with a hair dryer and a round comb.

Having done a bio-perm, you will not regret it. It doesn’t cause much damage to your hair, and at the same time allows you to show off luxurious curly hair!

Many women dream of beautiful, lush, curly hair. We always want to have what we don't have. We look with envy at girls with neat curls, voluminous hairstyles and think with bitterness that we can achieve the same effect only by daily styling with a curling iron or using curlers. But it’s easy to get the hairstyle of your dreams; you just need to surrender to the hands of an experienced hairdresser who will do a high-quality bio-perm on your hair.

What is biowave

Conventional perm is losing its popularity and is being replaced by new gentle technologies. Biochemical technology was invented back in 1999, and every year it joins its ranks with more and more new admirers. The main distinctive feature of biowave is that it is considered relatively harmless, gentle and even beneficial to hair.

The chemical mixture applied to the strands during the bioperm procedure (in other words, biological or biochemical perm) does not contain components hazardous to the health of the hair, namely ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and thioglycolic acid. Its main component, the active ingredient, is cysteamine hydrochloride, which is similar in structure to the protein found in the hair structure. It has a beneficial effect on the condition of the hair; after bio-curling, the hair retains its natural shine, softness, and elasticity.

Only strict adherence to the procedure technology and the hands of an experienced master can not harm the hair, not disrupt its structure or burn it. Sometimes hairdressers recommend that girls with damaged hair combine biochemistry with a structural hair restoration procedure. Brittle, dry hair will not only acquire beautiful curls, but will also shine with shine, become soft and manageable.

If you are still wondering whether it is worth doing a biowave, then here are some facts in favor of this procedure:

  • Biowave will radically change your image, introducing notes of romance, bohemian luxury, and elegance;
  • The procedure will not ruin your hair, but will give thin lifeless strands the missing volume and fluffiness;
  • Biochemical perm helps get rid of excess oily hair;

Bioperm in beauty salons is an expensive procedure, so some girls have gotten used to doing it themselves at home. If you want to experiment with perm at home, then first of all choose a quality product for this. Give preference to well-known companies, trusted manufacturers. You will need not only a curling compound, but also a shampoo-cream, conditioner-equalizer, and a neutralizer. All products must be from the same company; there is no need to mix components from different manufacturers.

Tip: Go for a consultation with an experienced hairdresser. Consult with him about choosing the right product suitable for the structure and condition of your hair. The final result depends on the correct choice of curling agent.

To do a bio-perm at home, use:

  • Chemical agent;
  • Bobbins of the required diameter (if you want to get small curls, use small bobbins, and if you want to have large curls, then you will need large bobbins);
  • Small foam sponges – 2 pcs.;
  • Glass, plastic or ceramic containers for mixing components;
  • Protective gloves for hands;
  • A fine-toothed plastic comb;
  • Towel;
  • A hat;
  • Hairdresser's cape for clothing.

Before starting the procedure, make sure you are not allergic to one of the components of the product. Apply a small amount of curling agent to your wrist, leave for 10-15 minutes, rinse. If you have an allergy, your skin will become red and irritated. The use of such a composition is prohibited.

Step-by-step technology:

  1. Wash your hair with a special shampoo, which was purchased complete with curling composition. The shampoo will slightly lift the hair cuticles to enhance the curling effect.
  2. Dry the strands with a towel, but do not dry thoroughly. They must remain moist.
  3. Comb your hair. Apply a small amount of bio-curling preparation along the entire length.
  4. Divide your hair into several parts: upper occipital, lower occipital, side parts, temporal parts.
  5. Wind each hair tightly around the bobbins one at a time, pulling the strands back to create tension. Winding must be done quickly to achieve an even result.
  6. Using a foam sponge, moisten the strands wound onto the bobbins with a bio-curling solution. This step is extremely important; you need to wet the strands thoroughly so that the liquid drips slightly from the bobbins.
  7. Put on a hairdresser's cap.
  8. Leave the product on for 15-25 minutes. After 7-10 minutes, unwind one strand from the bobbin, check the condition of the curl: does it retain the desired shape, what is its diameter. Based on these indicators, adjust the further time of the procedure.
  9. Once the required time has been maintained, rinse your hair generously and thoroughly with warm water, without removing the bobbins, the strands should remain curled.
  10. Using a second foam sponge, apply 1/3 of the neutralizer to curled hair. Keep it for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Carefully remove the bobbins. Apply the remaining amount of neutralizer to your curls. Leave it for another 5 minutes.
  12. Rinse the substance from your curls with warm water.
  13. Apply a special leave-in conditioning composition.
  14. Dry your hair naturally.

How long does a biowave last?

How long the result of the procedure lasts depends on the correct choice of chemical, the size of the resulting curls, as well as the condition and structure of the hair. On average, the effect lasts for 3-6 months. It should be noted that with biochemical perm there is no sharp transition between curled curls and regrown hair. The border is erased, styling looks natural. To always shine with neat curls, it is recommended to do a gentle perm two to three times a year.
