Why KVN?
KVN is laughter, joy, fun, creative fulfillment and much more. Here you can learn how to organize your time, learn a lot of interesting and useful things for life and, of course, find many new acquaintances! And sometimes your love...

I want to play KVN, what should I do?
You have three options.
The first is to join an already existing experienced team. But such teams are more demanding of candidates, so if you don’t have experience playing KVN, then it’s difficult to get there. You must either know one of its members (just like in life), or be too unusual (in terms of appearance or acting). So the second and third options are most likely.
The second way is to join an existing young team. Find out if there is a KVN at your university or school. If there is, join the guys; if not, ask friends from other universities and schools. Surf the Internet, in particular VKontakte groups, and you will probably find advertisements for recruitment into teams. And then come to the training camp and become a part of the squad.
The third way is to start from scratch, i.e. create your own team without joining anyone. To do this, it is enough, firstly, to find like-minded people, and secondly, to meet them, get acquainted, become friends and decide when and where you will continue to gather and rehearse. At the same time, it is still better to find some older comrades who will guide you on the right path.

Especially for those who chose the second or third option and live in Moscow or the Moscow region (or are planning to move there). We will be happy to publish your short text announcement in the “Announcements” section. To do this, just send the text to "Private" to the site editor or by mail. It will also be useful to review previous issues of the column.

Are there any restrictions for getting into KVN? I have no gaming experience, and no sense of humor either...
There are absolutely no restrictions. Anyone can get into KVN: a guy, a girl, a freshman, a graduate student... Even those who don’t know how to joke can realize themselves in KVN in their own way. If there are any requirements for beginners, it is a great desire to play and self-realization, a willingness to spend several hours a week on KVN. If KVN becomes the main way of your creative realization, then you will stay in it for a long time. You simply cannot live without it.
To start playing KVN, you don't need experience. And where will you get it if you’re just starting out? Experience comes with time - you will learn to sing, dance, play, joke in the process. And even if you think that you don’t have a sense of humor, after a few lessons you will suddenly discover it.

I live far from the KVN House / in the far Moscow region / in Novosibirsk. Am I lost for KVN?
Not at all. To play KVN, you don’t have to live next to the KVN House. In Moscow and the Moscow region there are several official and many unofficial leagues, and all kinds of cups are held. Gather a team and participate. You can rehearse wherever it is convenient for you, all you have to do is get used to coming to the editorial screenings and the game itself.
Any team from any region of Russia and even from another country can enter the League of Moscow and Moscow Region (TsLMiP, LaMPa), the Interregional Moscow Student League (MSL) and the Regional Moscow Region League. Teams from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Blagoveshchensk, Ufa, Kyiv, Kaliningrad, Engels, Murmansk region and even Prague played in LaMPa. The main thing is to simply perform well at the festival at the beginning of the season (read about it below) and preferably at the Sochi Festival. Well, it’s important that you feel comfortable traveling to games and rehearsals. However, if you really live further than 150 km from Moscow, and are just starting to play in KVN, it is better to study at the local level and come to conquer Moscow at a mature age for the team.

How much will I be paid for participating in KVN games? Or will I have to pay myself?
Cavern players are not paid for their performances (even those who play in the Major League). Because KVN is a voluntary and unpaid activity. Play for the soul.
Some leagues have registration fees, while others require tickets to be distributed for a certain amount. But more often than not, people really “invest” in KVN for more than high level, so a young team rarely has to spend heavily. And sometimes there are events for which a cash prize is assigned in advance.

Will anyone help us become a team?
Yes. If you play at a university or school where KVN is supervised by your senior comrades, you can always ask them for advice. In addition, in all leagues and at all festivals there are editors who not only “cut out” jokes, but also suggest how best to present this or that act, in which direction to develop, etc. These are exactly the people who will form in you the correct idea of KVN. But a truly professional composition of editors, directors and administrators is only in the official structure of the leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region. If you decide that KVN is for you for a long time, you definitely need to apply to the official leagues. Moreover, the way “up” to “TV” lies only through the official leagues.

What are my prospects?
Limitless. It will all probably start with participation in a university or school KVN league, and then - you can achieve anything if you really want it! All famous KVN players began their journey in KVN with games at a university or school. Just play and gain experience. And if you develop and learn from your mistakes, then everyone new season will be a new step for you on the path to the Major League. The structure of the leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region has produced many teams that have appeared on television.

We are a young team. Where should we go?
If your university or school has its own KVN league, start with it. Because at higher levels (in city leagues) it is very difficult for young teams. And “our own” league is the best experimental platform: there is a more loyal attitude here, material is accumulated for future stellar years, a style is formed, a support group is created. As a result, your team learns the basics of KVN without any special financial costs and traveling.
Well, if there was no KVN at a university or school before you, you definitely need to go “abroad”, because otherwise, performing only within your own walls, you risk even distorting your idea of KVN. It’s like learning to drive a car - theoretically, you can do everything yourself, but it will be better if experienced people teach you this and you “drive” under their supervision. Again, applying directly to the official leagues (MSL, MSL2) is risky, so it’s worth trying yourself in the leagues of other schools and universities; the organizers and editors will teach you a lot there. There are also many festivals held in Moscow and the Moscow region, which are also worth participating in. For example, in 2014 the City KVN Championship “Moscow” was held.
If you are a team that has already played a little and is counting on successful performance at the level of Moscow and the Moscow region, you are welcome to join the structure of our leagues. If it's autumn, wait for information about (takes place in November-December) and apply for it. This is the first event at which you can show yourself to the “main” Moscow editors and the general Moscow public in general. The full season starts in February - early March, when the Moscow and Moscow Region League Structure Festival takes place. Based on its results, the rosters of all official leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region are formed. So don’t miss the moment - in the period from March to November we will not be able to accept an unfamiliar team into the league, and then we will have to again participate in unofficial leagues and all kinds of festivals.

Can you be more specific once again - how to get into the season of one of the official leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region?
The composition of all official leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region is determined based on the results of two festivals. The first - Sochi - takes place at the end of January - beginning of February. Usually more or less mature teams reach it. And in general, the season of the main Moscow league - the League of Moscow and Moscow Region - is mainly formed from teams that received the so-called increased rating at the Sochi festival.
The second festival is the Festival of the structure of the leagues of Moscow and the Moscow region. It is usually held by the organizing committee in February-March, and any team can participate in this festival; they just need to submit an application (information about the timing and place of its submission is posted on our website in a timely manner). Based on the results of this festival, the teams are distributed among the leagues of the entire structure of the leagues of Moscow and the Moscow region. Please note that all teams wishing to qualify for the seasons of the Moscow and Moscow Region leagues are required to perform at the Festival of the Moscow and Moscow Region League Structures.

Can I participate in parallel in the official league of the structure of Moscow and the Moscow region and the unofficial league (city, school, university)?
This is not forbidden, because by doing so you gain more experience and, therefore, learn to joke better. But, firstly, you must ensure that you do not refuse to participate in the season of the official league (otherwise you will unreasonably lose your place in it). Secondly, it is advisable to inform the organizing committee of the structure of the leagues in Moscow and the Moscow region that you are also participating in the “unofficial” tournament.

Are there any other questions? Write to or, we are always ready to answer questions.

The prototype of KVN was the program “Evening of Fun Questions”, organized by journalist Sergei Muratov based on the model of the Czech program “Guess, Fortune, Fortune Teller”. In the program “Evening of Fun Questions,” aired in 1957, viewers answered questions from the presenters, and humor was especially welcomed. The idea was completely new at that time. For the first time, not only the presenters, but also the audience participated in a Soviet television program. In addition, “Evening” was broadcast live. The program was produced by the “Festival Edition of Central Television”, the first youth edition on Soviet television, founded by Sergei Muratov in 1956.
“An Evening of Fun Questions” was very popular, but was broadcast only three times. On the third program, a prize was promised to everyone who came to the studio wearing a fur coat, a hat and felt boots (it was summer) and with a newspaper for December 31 of last year. The host of the program, composer Nikita Bogoslovsky, forgot to mention the newspaper. Of course, almost all TV viewers had winter clothes. Crowds of people in fur coats and felt boots arrived, burst into the studio, swept away the police, and complete chaos began. The broadcast was stopped, but the program was not replaced with anything. Until the end of the evening, the televisions showed the screensaver “Break on technical reasons" The broadcast was closed by the editors.
The closed resolution of the CPSU Central Committee regarding “VVV” was published only a few years ago (according to the textbook “Television Journalism”, edited by A. Ya. Yurovsky, Moscow, 2005). [source not specified 154 days]
Four years later, on November 8, 1961, Elena Galperina called Sergei Muratov and said that the people needed their transfer. Row former creators The “Evening of Fun Questions” program released a new TV show - KVN. The first presenter - Albert Axelrod - left the program in 1964, Sergei Muratov and Mikhail Yakovlev left KVN with him. Axelrod was replaced by MIIT student Alexander Maslyakov (since then he has been the permanent host of this program), along with him the program was hosted by announcer Svetlana Zhiltsova. The abbreviation KVN stood for “Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful,” but in addition, it was the brand of the then TV set - KVN-49. Teams have already competed in the KVN program. Since the teams often made irony about Soviet reality or ideology (it was these jokes that TV viewers liked most [source not specified 154 days]), at some point they began to be broadcast not as live broadcasts, but as recordings, and jokes that were questionable from an ideological point of view cut out [source not specified 154 days]. The program irritated the source not specified for 154 days, the head of central television, Sergei Lapin, and soon the KGB began to deal with it. Censorship became more and more stringent over time, to the point that it was forbidden to go on stage with a beard - this was considered a mockery of Karl Marx. source not specified 154 days / At the end of 1971, after Lapin’s proceedings with Muratov, the program was closed.
KVN, like “Evening of Fun Questions,” was extremely popular. A KVN movement arose throughout the country. In imitation of the broadcast of the KVN game, they were organized in schools, pioneer camps, etc. Qualifying KVN tournaments were held in universities throughout the country, and the best teams made it to television.
KVN was revived in 1986, the beginning of perestroika. The initiator was the captain of the KVN MISI of the 1960s, Andrei Menshikov. The presenter, as before closing, was Maslyakov. After the revival, the founders of KVN were invited first by the jury, and then as guests of honor. The first presenter of the program, Albert Axelrod, proposed his image of Maslyakov, but the presenter did not like this idea. After a few issues, the teams reached the same high level as KVN of the 1960s. The KVN movement arose again, with games being organized in Western Europe (West European KVN League), Israel and the USA. The first international game of the CIS - Israel (1992, Moscow) and even the World Championship between the teams of the USA, Israel, the CIS and Germany (1994, Israel) are held (with stunning success). KVN is becoming one of the most popular Russian television programs.
Many KVN participants, after completing their playing careers, became popular TV presenters, organizing their own humorous programs. Among them are Yuli Gusman, Bakhram Bagirzade, Oleg Filimonov, Valdis Pelsh, Alexey Kortnev, Sergei Sivokho, Tatyana Lazareva, Mikhail Shats, Sergei Belogolovtsev, Timur Batrutdinov, Mikhail Galustyan, Garik Martirosyan, Garik Kharlamov, Alexander Pushnoy, Gennady Khazanov.

Rules of the game

Student team performance
B KVN play according to different rules, sometimes they can change right during the game, which happens even in the most important major league. However, there are rules that are adhered to in any case in all leagues, which makes KVN a recognizable game.
Firstly, KVN is played in teams. At a minimum, a team must contain at least two members (the smallest team that competed at a high level, the “Team of Small Peoples,” at one time consisted of only two players). Every team must have a captain. The KVN captain must also represent his team at the captain competition if he is included in the game program. Most teams wear original costumes that distinguish the players of this team from other players. Costumes within one team can be identical, in the same style, or personal, unique for each team member.
Secondly, the game should be divided into separate competitions. Usually, each competition is given, in addition to the nominal (“Warm-up”, “ Musical competition»), original name, which sets the theme for the entire speech. The game itself also gets an original name, defining general theme games. Each competition must be judged by a jury headed by its chairman.

Major League

Main article: KVN Major League
The Major League of the revived KVN has existed since 1986, when KVN reappeared on television. Until 1993, this league was the only official one, and in 1993 the first league appeared, the champion of which received an automatic ticket to the major league next season. Thus, the level of the major league began to grow from year to year, and most teams got there after having already played in the first league. Later, in 1999, other official leagues of KVN appeared, and teams with experience of playing in various official leagues of TTO AMiK began to reach the top. The number of major league teams increased from 6 to 12 and 15 teams in the season. Typically, the major league consists of three round of 16 games, two quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final, although at various times experiments have been carried out with consolation games and double semi-finals. The champion of the major league is considered the champion of the entire club and receives the right to play for Summer Cup KVN. The leader of the league is Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov, the jury is famous people, B Lately The permanent members of the jury are Konstantin Ernst (chairman of the jury), Yuliy Gusman, Leonid Yarmolnik, Mikhail Efremov and Igor Vernik. The remaining jury members change from game to game.
From 1986 to 2009, 138 KVN teams played in the major league.
Premier League
Main article: KVN Premier League
The Premier League was opened in 2003 and became the second television league of Channel One. The Premier League is played by younger KVN teams, mostly champions and finalists of various official leagues. In 2004, it was decided that the champion of the first league would be included in the television league, that is, in the major or premier league, only the champion of the premier league automatically gets into the major league. In addition, teams that lost the 1/8 finals of the major league enter the Premier League season and are offered to continue the season in the Premier League. The layout of a Premier League season changes from Season B to Season: Sometimes a season starts with a Premier League Festival (which functions as a qualifying game), then three or four round of 16 games, two or three quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final are played. On this moment[when?] most of the major league teams are graduate teams of the Premier League, among them the 2005 Club champions, “Narts from Abkhazia” and “Megapolis”, as well as the 2007 champion MPEI team, “ Ordinary people", 2008 champion "Maximum" (Tomsk). The Premier League is hosted by Alexander Maslyakov Jr., and famous KVN players sit on the jury. From 2003 to 2007, there were 86 teams playing in the Premier League (the top league only reached 86 in 2001). Before the 2007 semi-finals, the jury made decisions in the Premier League by meeting, but since the fall of 2007, scoreboards have appeared in the Premier League. In addition, it was decided not to seat league editors and KVN players working with competing teams on the jury. The teams “Region-13” (2003), “Left Bank” (2003), “Maximum” (2004 and 2005), “Megapolis” (2004), “Sportivnaya Station” (2006), “SOK” became the champions of the Premier League. Offer of the day: performance by the KVN team

KVN today is not only an abbreviation for a popular TV show. This is a game that connects several generations and great amount representatives of different countries and cultures. After next day birth of the club, let's remember the history of KVN, the founders and how it all began.

In the beginning there was BBB

Although official history KVN dates back to 1961; the basis of the popular program was laid a little earlier. In 1957, on the eve World Festival youth and students, the center of which was Moscow, at the Komsomol meeting it was decided to introduce a humorous program “An Evening of Fun Questions” into the television program. It is worth noting that the prototype of this program was the Czechoslovak television show “Guess, Fortune, Fortune Teller.” The creators of this game were Sergei Muratov, Albert Axelrod and Mikhail Yakovlev, and the composer Nikita Bogoslovsky and the aspiring actress Margarita Lifanova were chosen as the hosts of the program.

The format of the TV show “An Evening of Fun Questions” was significantly different from the KVN we were used to. First of all, the game was only released in live, and its participants were the spectators directly. Unfortunately, despite its great popularity, the program was broadcast only three times; due to an overlay on the air, the project was canceled.

The birth of a club of cheerful and resourceful people

Only four years after the closure of the “Evening of Fun Questions” program, the idea of creating a humorous television game “The Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful” (or simply KVN) was born. The authors of the humor club games were the same people who worked on the BBB games. “An Evening of Fun Questions” was closed due to problems with viewers who wished to participate in the program. In this regard, the founder of KVN, Sergei Muratov, decided to make the game purely television. And the name KVN was just right: in those days that was the name of the TV brand KVN-49. It was at this time that the format of the game, a competition in wit between different teams, familiar to us from childhood, was laid down.

The debut of the new television program took place in November 1961, and Albert Axelrod and Svetlana Zhiltsova became the hosts of KVN some time after the games began broadcasting.

Participants of the first games of the club

Unlike current teams, the first members of the club were students from institutes and universities. In the debut game, the participants were teams from MISS (Moscow Civil Engineering Institute) and the Institute foreign languages. The first programs were broadcast live in the same way as the “Evening of Fun Questions” program once was. And although there was no script as such initially and some of the competitions were invented on the fly, and the rules were improved in the process, the popularity of KVN grew at an amazing speed.

The KVN movement quickly spread throughout the country. Games began to be held not only among students, but also among schoolchildren and vacationers in pioneer camps and enterprises. To get into the game, which aired on TV, teams had to go through a serious selection process, which only the best of the best managed to overcome.

KVN presenter - Alexander Maslyakov

Until 1964, the main host of the TV show was Albert Axelrod, but he left the TV project along with other founders - Sergei Muratov and Mikhail Yakovlev. Instead of Axelrod, a student from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers, Alexander Maslyakov, who to this day is the host of the club’s major league games, was appointed to the position of game manager.

However, the program was not destined to appear on television for a long time. Players often mocked the ideology of the Soviet regime, so recordings of the club's games began to be censored. Over time, censorship became more stringent, and sometimes even reached the point of absurdity. Thus, KVN participants were not allowed to go on stage with a beard - the censors saw this as a mockery of Karl Marx. And in 1971, due to the teams’ excessively sharp jokes, the program was closed by the decision of the head of central television, Sergei Lapin.

We are starting KVN

Thanks to the efforts of one of the participants in the first KVN, the TV show was aired again. The new founder of KVN, Andrei Menshikov, captain of the MISI team, left the format of the program and the host (Alexandra Maslyakov). But there were some innovations: an invited jury appeared (in the first releases these were the founders of the game), new competitions and a point rating system. Among other things, the host of the program had to take on the role of editor.

So, in 1986, the first game of the revived club of cheerful and resourceful people was shown on the country's television screens. It was at this moment that the club anthem “We are starting KVN” appeared, and past games began with a song performed by Oleg Anofriev.

The television show only needed a few episodes to reach the same level of popularity as previous projects. The KVNO movement has also been revived, moreover, it has spread not only in Russia, but also in some countries Western Europe and in the United States of America.

KVN today

Today KVN is one of the most rated television programs. KVnov games are held not only in schools and universities, but also on various enterprises. This humor club unites participants not only from Russia and neighboring countries, but also from many European countries. Since the game's return to television, more than 100 different teams have taken part in the major league alone.

And although the rules of the game can change even during the competition, regardless of the level of the league (including in the KVN major league), there are several basic, mandatory conditions. Firstly, KVN is team game, one participant will not be allowed on stage. The team must have a captain or front-man representing it at the captain competition, if one is included in the program. Secondly, testing teams for their ability to joke is necessarily carried out in several competitions, for example, this could be a warm-up, homework or biathlon. Moreover, each game has a thematic title that sets the direction.

On television you can now see major league games, premieres, international games and episodes of children's KVN.

The most famous KVN players

In the very first KVN games, which took place from 1961 to 1971, the participants were such celebrities as Boris Burda, Mikhail Zadornov, Gennady Khazanov, Leonid Yakubovich and Yuliy Gusman (who already for a long time is a permanent member of the jury of major league games).

In addition, almost all the founders of the popular comedy television project “Comedy Club” came from KVN. Thus, Garik Martirosyan led the team “New Armenians”, Mikhail Galustyan - “Burnt by the Sun”, in which Alexander Revva performed, Semyon Slepakov - the team of the city of Pyatigorsk, Pavel Volya and Timur Rodriguez were members of the team "Valeon Dasson."

Besides, in different years Alexey Kortnev, Vadim Samoilov, Alexander Pushnoy, Pelageya, Alexander Gudkov, Vadim Galygin, Ekaterina Varnava and many other KVN players who became famous took part in the club’s games.

The KVN team "Ural dumplings" produces a show of the same name, in which, like in KVN, Dmitry Sokolov, Dmitry Brikotkin participate, the first team, which continued to joke on television in own show, became "Odessa gentlemen", by the way, with their light hand, or rather, a joke uttered in one of the games, Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov was proclaimed president of the club of cheerful and resourceful people.

The best KVN teams. What are they?

To earn the title best team KVN, participants needed to win major league games. Over the long history of the TV show, many teams have received the winning cup, each of them can be called the best.

Over the years, the best became the participants of one of the most titled teams “Children of Lieutenant Schmidt”, the team Russian University Friendship of Peoples, Tomsk team "Maximum", "County City", "Juice", "Triod and Diode", "UNION", "Asia MIX" and many others.

Who was on the jury of the KVN Major League?

Prototype of transmission

Some time before the Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful appeared on the screens, there was a similar program called “An Evening of Fun Questions.” Here questions were asked to the audience and jury members, and, of course, humor was assessed. IN Soviet time it was the most popular and fun program that everyone loved to watch and many would like to take part in it.

Despite the fact that this program was very popular, it was broadcast only three times. The presenters decided to hold interesting competition, where viewers had to visit the studio wearing a fur coat and carrying last year's New Year's newspaper. But, unfortunately, they forgot to mention the newspaper when announcing the competition, so the next day the hall was filled with a huge number of people in winter clothes. outerwear. There is only one presenter left - Alexander Maslyakov. Initially, he came to the game as a student, but now he is already an experienced presenter and comedian.
