Already 2 hours before the start of the concert, a huge queue lined up at the doors of the hall. An hour before the event, the doors opened and people ran to take the best seats near the stage.

It was a little cold in the hall. Therefore, the audience started calling Ivan, the leader of the Noize MC group, 15 minutes before the concert. But the star appeared only at half past seven. Ivan went on stage, greeted the audience and began his performance with the song “For closed door". The hall exploded. This track personifies early work groups. And well known to all fans.

After this, the artist began to combine songs latest albums with already well known ones. Most of all, the audience was delighted with the compositions: “Swimming pool”, “Destruction”, “Song for the radio” and many others.
The audience received “Cosmic Cycle” especially warmly. There was a song called "The Universe is Infinite". And, as we know from Ivan’s interview, she is on the list of his personal favorites. Here the audience also listened to “It’s Cool on Mars.” With this song the artist began the “Against War” cycle.

Vanya brightened up the concert sets with his freestyle. This was done so skillfully that the audience did not immediately understand that this was improvisation and not a new track.
In the middle of the concert the band took a break. Only the DJ remained on stage. At this time, he turned on a song from the group's repertoire. They sang it along with the audience.

The key of the song is A minor, but this does not save us from the tricky chords that Noise wields. More precisely, I would not have left it the way it was with him, but would have come to the studio in 2 days with a fresh voice singing. And I would have recorded it from the first three takes. And if I wrote down unemotional garbage again, in another day or two. Until I get sick myself. So I don’t hear any emotions in the song. This means something else is catching on.

But for rap it’s still normal to rap in a tired, unemotional voice. Because rap in Russia is still valued for its meaning (more precisely, there are 2 audiences - those who value the meaning and those who value the execution). But if you use this “small” omission of most rappers and crawl into this gap (which is what I’m going to do), you can really stand out due to emotional performance.

Chips. Didn't notice. There is nothing for the ear to catch on. Except for the sample in the chorus.

Against the background of the rest of the illogical rap with chaotic jumps like “There is an elderberry in the garden, there is a guy in Kyiv,” this is the first thing that catches your eye. A completely banal idea, but in such an unexpected form that it may seem that the idea itself is new. But the idea is as old as the world.

The performance of the verse does not catch my attention (I said above), in the chorus I like the melody, not the performance. The performance is again tired and empty. I wouldn’t leave it like that, but I would sing for an extra half hour and record it beautifully.

Now I’m listening back and noticed this moment. I hear not so much what Noise was singing, but what he wanted to sing. And he wanted to sing, it seems to me, with such emotional anguish that the clipping would creep into the microphone. :) But the vocal technique was not enough - so I left it as it turned out.

And it’s this “implied” that gets me. One of the greats said in the spirit of “An imperfect work can cause more strong feeling, because the listener thinks for the author and thus participates in the creation.”

What do you like about the performance? A free, unstrained voice (most Russian rappers have a strained voice that makes it painful to listen to). No speech defects, clear diction.

The salty note at the end is interesting. Again, appeals to guitarists and musicians in a broad sense.

What emotion do I personally feel?

I listened to it several times, trying to understand the sensations. IN last time I turned off my brain and surrendered to the song. I noticed that emotions were overflowing. Overall I feel sad. In the chorus, the sadness is enhanced by a sample of a female voice, and the sound of the sea generally puts you into a trance if you don’t resist it. But the echo on the sample adds a feeling of freedom (I can’t quite articulate it).

Drums - beatbox. They are not of interest, just for the rhythm, for the background (compared to other rap - where the drums are often pulled out even ahead of the voice).

The bass is inconspicuous, ordinary, adds fat, does not throw out any tricks. I actually noticed it only now, a year and a half later, after I heard the song :)
