Drawing space with children: two step-by-step workshops on unusual techniques for drawing space with children.

Draw space with children

Master class 1: drawing space with children with balls

Today in this article you will learn a very interesting and unusual technique drawing with gouache balls. Yes Yes! Instead of a brush, my children and I will paint with balls! This technique allows you to get a very unusual background of space on a sheet of paper and is available even to the smallest children.

Children's age: from junior preschool and older.

Materials and tools

To work you need:

- landscape paper, and preferably watercolor,

- a lid with sides from a cardboard box or a plastic disposable rectangular plate,

colored paper,

- glue stick.

- glass balls.

Where can I get glass balls for painting? Glass balls can be bought in shops for children, in shops for creativity and for florists (they are usually called "marbles", "marbles mix" and other similar names). Such balls are used for children's games and in floristry to decorate transparent vases, decor, compositions. You can use them as beads, plastic balls from children's sets. V old days glass balls were used from dispensers on a bottle of vodka (if you have one at home in several copies and it is possible to get balls from it).

Step 1

- Pick up the lid from the box (I took rectangular plastic plates).

- Cut a sheet of paper to fit the plate.

Step 2

- Insert paper into a plate.

- Drop a blot of paint diluted like sour cream on the paper Pink colour

- Put in a few glass beads.

Step 3

- Tilt the plate up and down, left and right so that the balls roll over the stain with paint and spread the paint all over the sheet. At the same time, make sure that the slopes of the plate are not sharp, but smooth. The child needs to slowly change the slope of the plate so that the balls do not fly out of the plate. This develops sensorimotor coordination.

Step 4

- Add a blot of blue paint to the sheet.

- Continue rolling the balls, getting blue lines.

Step 5

Add a blot of black and keep rolling the balls until your cosmic sky is ready.

Step 6. Draw the rocket.

In the previous steps, we drew a space background with the child. And now, against this background, we will make a rocket. It can be drawn (if you are drawing space with the children of an older preschool age) or use the applique technique (if you are drawing space with children of younger preschool age).

How can you execute a rocket or spaceship in the applique technique on the background of space:

- Remove the paper from the plate

- Cut a rocket out of colored paper, stick it on a blank with a space sky

- Cut out the rocket wings, fiery tail, stick next to the rocket.

- Cut out circles, glue windows on the rocket

The space picture is ready!

This is what happened with the children - their work is shown in the photo below.

Nastya (4 years old) depicted a spaceship approaching the planet against the background of space.

The picture of Lesha (6 years old) depicts a rocket against the background of space.

And this is a drawing of baby Felix (3, 5 years old). He himself painted the background of space with balls and, with the help of an adult, cut out the finished parts of the rocket and pasted them onto the background.

Creative task:

- Think, what round objects can be used instead of balls for drawing space?

- Create your own cosmic sky pattern.

- Imagine and compose your plot composition"Spaces"

The author of the master class: Vera Parfentieva, technology teacher, head of the children's circle artistic creation, a reader of the site "Native Path" and a participant in our Internet Workshop of educational games "Through the game - to success!". In the article, Vera shared photos of her little students' drawings.

Master class 2. We draw space with children using scratchboard technique

Age of children: senior preschool and primary school.

Scratchboard is a technique for scratching out an image in the background. The word "scratchboard" comes from the French gratter - "to scratch, scratch".

To draw space using scratchboard technique you will need very simple items:

- a thick sheet of white cardboard for the background,

- black gouache or black ink,

- colored wax crayons (if you want to get colored images of the contours),

- brush,

- dishwashing liquid,

- a toothpick for scratching.

Preparatory stage.

First, we draw a sketch with a pencil on a sketchbook sheet of paper, outlining where we will draw what. And then we prepare a sheet and scratch images on it. How to do it:

Step 1. Preparing the background for painting

- We take a sheet of white cardboard and paint it with colored wax crayons as you want. The entire sheet should be covered with colored, multi-colored spots. Little kids will be happy to help you and paint from the heart!

If you do not have wax crayons, then paint the sheet with ordinary colored pencils and then rub it with a paraffin candle so that the paraffin covers the entire sheet of paper.

- Mix 3 parts mascara or black gouache with 1 part dishwashing liquid. We get black paint. We completely cover our sheet of cardboard with this paint. Let it dry.

Step 2. Draw on the background of the image of space: planets, stars, comets, rockets.

On the finished sheet with a toothpick or a sharp skewer, scratch our drawing on the theme of space. It turns out a very beautiful work!

Helpful hints:

You can use ready-made plastic stencils for tracing drawings on the contour on the theme "Space". Even children of middle preschool age can draw on them. Older preschoolers and schoolchildren can scratch the drawing themselves, without a stencil.

- If you do not want to get a colored background and colored lines of the scratched contours, but want to get white outlines on a black background of space, then use white cardboard. Rub it with a paraffin candle so that the entire leaf is completely covered with a slightly whitish coating. Next, paint over this sheet completely with black ink diluted with liquid soap. And you will have a scratching background, which will give black and white painting space in finished work.

Master class 3. We draw space with watercolors with ... salt!

So the month of April has come ... with the hope of warmth and a bright sun, with blossoming and joy ... Very soon the world will celebrate the Day of Cosmonautics. This is a celebration that includes important events and greatest discoveries, the achievements of human civilization and the discovery of inaccessible secrets and worlds.

V different time the children and I conducted a variety of activities on the topic of Space, links to some of them will be at the end of the article and in. And today I invite you and your children to arm yourself with pencils and paints and go to draw space!

Hooray! I announce the opening new heading "Learning to draw" and I invite you to meet the artist Yulia, who shared her drawing skills with us.

How to draw space in stages

Drawings on the theme of space are a frequent task in April in schools and kindergartens. Julia offers us two options space theme on the different age: for preschoolers and elementary school students.

I know that many parents strongly oppose drawing templates and examples. But I am also convinced that in order to learn to draw, sometimes you need a push, an example, by embodying which, the child will believe in himself and begin to reveal his capabilities and talents. Let's try?

Drawing "Rocket in space" for children 4-5 years old.

The drawing is so simple and light that it seems to me that it does not need additional descriptions. However, if the video format of the lesson is more convenient for you, then watch this video:

Drawing on the theme "Space" for children 6-7 years old.

And here is the video MK of the rocket drawing, posted on our:

These are the simple and accessible drawings about space that the artist Julia offered us today. And I am grateful to her for her beautiful work.

How do you like these drawings about space? And what do you and your children like to draw on a given topic? By the way, you can send your drawings on this MK to me by mail, I will post them in this article.

We will need:

  • thick paper for watercolors (whatman paper);
  • brushes (thin and thick);
  • watercolor;
  • white gouache;
  • Toothbrush;
  • water.

We draw in stages

To get an original drawing, we will depict space in a circle. Take a thick brush, dip it in clean water and go over the piece of paper. This is necessary in order to get beautiful divorces. It's best to start painting space light colors picking yellow, orange, red and blue. Use random strokes for more natural color transitions.

Dilute several saturated blue shades on the palette at once, mixing them with purple and black paint. To paint space in watercolor, you need to apply strokes in quick, chaotic movements, remembering to rinse the brush in water for each new shade. So the colors of the starry sky will turn out to be cleaner and more contrasting, and the stains will look spectacular.

Move from the center to the sides, filling the impromptu space circle with paints. Feel free to brush over dry areas, altering the space pattern in the process and adding saturation to some areas.

When you fill the whole circle with paints, you can start working on the details. Take a fine paintbrush and go red and yellow in the glow area. The color transition will become more interesting, making the stellar nebula colorful.

Would you like to draw a cosmos with millions of stars? Then wait until the drawing is completely dry, take toothbrush, dip it in white gouache and spray it on the sheet by gently running your finger over the bristles.

To make the drawing of space more interesting, you can draw planets on top. To do this, paint circles with white gouache. different sizes... After the paint has dried, apply colored dotted strokes with a thin brush, not forgetting the semicircular shadow on one side of the planet.

Another way to paint space in watercolor

1. In order to draw the Universe, only 3-4 colors are enough. At least with that amount you can start. Important: the sheet for watercolor should be very dense so that it does not wrinkle from water and so that the paint spreads beautifully and evenly.

2. The contour can be outlined with solid simple pencil to indicate the area that you will wet with water. Wet some of the allotted space.

3. Apply paint to the wetted area. Try to keep the contours nice.

4. Wet the rest of the space with water and apply a different color of paint. Selectively paint bright spots throughout the design. The drawing must be wet for the paint to flow beautifully.

5. After the drawing is completely dry, apply the stars. This can be done with white or yellow paint using an old toothbrush.

6. Some stars can be drawn more carefully.

If you sprinkle salt on a wet drawing, then the structure of the cosmos will turn out to be even more interesting. The salt will absorb some of the paint, and shaking it off after it dries completely, there will be beautiful white dots and clouds in place of the salt.

Pencil drawing of space

To determine how to draw space in stages with a pencil and get a high-quality image, you need a little more attention and perseverance.

The pencil drawing technique is a little more complicated compared to the paints. As with any drawing, you need to decide on the composition of the picture. To create the background, you will need to draw the correct classic strokes, which will give the drawing a sense of spaciousness. You should start with the darkest strokes, gradually moving on to more light colors... The main thing is to avoid sharp corners and hard lines. Add images of planets, moon, stars, etc. to the background. The depth, smoothness and softness of space should be reflected in the drawing.

Simple pencil drawing of outer space

1. Large solar system consists of the Sun, around which 8 planets revolve. So first we need to draw a big circle.

3. On each line you will need to draw one planet. Each planet has its own size and features... For example, Saturn is in the sixth position from the Sun and has a ring system. Also Uranus has rings. There are 30 of them in total, but in the figure we will designate this with one line. Also, let's draw one comet and an asteroid field between Mars and Jupiter (between the fourth and fifth planets). Asteroids will also be shown behind the last planet. They are called the Kuiper field.

4. Outline each element in the figure with a black marker.

5. We begin to paint space. The first step is to color the Sun, which needs yellow and orange hues. Red tones in darker places will not be superfluous.

Then, in order, we go to other planets and paint them with the same pencils. Use a yellow pencil to colorize Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. We will also draw strokes with an orange pencil on Venus, Mars and Jupiter. But paint the rings of Saturn with a brown pencil.

6. Now let's move on to other planets. Color them with blue pencils and blue flowers... These will be Uranus and Neptune. But our planet Earth was different from others. After all, she will have in herself various shades- and yellow, and blue, and green. Color the belts with asteroids with a brown pencil.

7. Now let's add color to the outer space. For this we use pencils in blue, blue and purple.

8. This completes the drawing of the cosmos. Of course, you can add a lot of details here, but let's leave it for our imagination to dream and feel the whole essence of the Universe.
