Plot

When trying to change the ship's parking lot, the Pegasus falls into an underground trap. The entire crew is captured by pirates, but Alice manages to escape thanks to her invisibility cap. She gets to the surface, where she is met by the First Captain and... the real Verkhovtsev. Meanwhile, the pirates are blackmailing the Second Captain. He enters the battle, and the First Captain and his friends come to the rescue. The pirates are defeated, the impostor “Verkhovtsev” - the chameleon pirate Rat - is exposed. In the dungeon, the heroes also discover the Third Captain. It all started with him - he brought new super-powerful fuel for ships from another galaxy. Only he and the Second Captain know the “Formula Galactia,” but he manages to barricade himself in his ship. And the Third falls into the hands of pirates, and they torture him to find out the formula. When he is found, the captain is already dying, but he is saved.

And then the wife of the First Captain lands on the planet, having caught a living nebula. Merry U manages to escape, but he falls into the clutches of a giant bird. The heroes part and promise each other to fly to the stars together again in the future.

Screen adaptation

Based on the story, Roman Kachanov made the cartoon “The Secret of the Third Planet.” In it, the plot and the number of characters were reduced: Captain Poloskov disappeared, the number of Great Captains was reduced to two and they received the names Buran and Kim (in the story only the name of the First Captain is named - Vsevolod). The Rat Pirate has been renamed "Gloth of the Planet Katruk". Ordinary human pirates are replaced by robots. Several episodes that do not affect the main plot are missing from the film. It was also removed that the Third (in the cartoon - the Second) Captain was tortured by pirates to find out the secret. The bird Talker in the book has two beaks and a golden crown of feathers.

The rest of the film adaptation follows the original.

A girl living in the late 21st century has adventures on Earth and Mars; saves an entire civilization by traveling back in time and battles space pirates in deep space.

The narration in all three stories is told on behalf of Alisa Selezneva’s father, a professor of cosmobiology.

The girl to whom nothing will happen

Alisa Seleznyova had the ability to “disappear at the most inopportune time” and make discoveries that were “beyond the power of the greatest scientists of our time.” Her dad, cosmobiologist, Professor Seleznev, confident that at the end of the 21st century nothing would happen to his little daughter, wrote down several stories that happened to her.

Thanks to Alice, the Martians learned who Baba Yaga was. The girl made friends with the brontosaurus and figured out how to cure it. Accidentally getting lost on Mars, Alice found the structure of an ancient Martian civilization. The beast, brought from a distant planet and given to the girl, turned out to be intelligent.

Having moved to the dacha in the summer, Alice saved a scientist who had unsuccessfully tested his invention on himself. Then the girl found guests from a distant star, who turned out to be tiny people. While testing the time machine, Alice went back in time and met a famous science fiction writer.

Alice's birthday

To give Alisa Seleznyova a birthday present, the girl’s friend, an alien and famous archaeologist Gromozeka, took her to explore the recently discovered planet Koleida. All life on the planet died out due to the cosmic plague, the virus of which was brought to Koleid by the first spaceship launched from it. It turned out that Gromozeka took Alice with him with the intention of sending the girl back in time so that she would try to save life on the planet.

Together with her new friend, the kitten-like archaeologist Rrrrr, Alice went back in time, sneaked into the cosmodrome and sprayed the astronauts with a liquid vaccine against the cosmic plague. Returning to their time, Alice and Rrrrr learned that they had succeeded, the civilization on Koleid was saved, and the local residents did not even suspect that someone had saved them.

Alice's Journey

Cosmobiologist Professor Seleznev took his daughter Alice on a space expedition to collect rare animals for the Moscow zoo. At the beginning of the flight, the girl learned about the Three Captains, brave explorers of deep space, and then the Seleznevs got a semi-intelligent talker bird that belonged to one of the captains.

The talker led the expedition to an unknown planet, where space pirates were holding the Second Captain captive, trying to learn from him the formula for absolute fuel. This formula was given to the captain by the inhabitants of the neighboring galaxy, where he had recently visited.

With the help of the talker, Alice managed to get out of the dungeon, where members of the expedition found themselves together with the captain, and bring help. The space pirates were arrested, after which Alice asked the captains to take her with them to a neighboring galaxy.

Today it is not so easy to instill in a child a love of reading. Cartoons, TV shows and computer games compete for his attention. Forcing people to read under pressure is definitely not the answer. Wise parents use a completely different method, since it is enough just once to interest the child in an entertaining story or story for him to want to make friends with books. And experience shows that this friendship drags on for years.

However, which book should you choose? In this article, as an example, we will look at a work written by Kir Bulychev - “Alice’s Journey”. A brief summary of the story will not only allow you to get a general idea of the book, but will also reveal the features of the author’s artistic style. But this is precisely what allowed Bulychev to create an impressive cycle of works united by one heroine, which for several decades continues to be popular with both children and adults.

The story consists of 24 chapters, each of which, in fact, is a small independent complete story. From the first chapter, the reader learns about the preparations for an interstellar journey to collect rare alien animals by Professor Seleznev and his daughter Alice, whom he promised to take with him. The participation of second-grader Alice in the expedition is called into question due to an unpleasant incident at school. However, true friends come to the rescue, and everything ends well.

In the next chapter, due to Alice's fault, the launch of the Pegasus spaceship is almost disrupted. Due to the fact that she secretly brought on board nearly fifty of her school friends so that they could get to a football match on the moon, there was an overload, and the Pegasus simply could not tear itself away from the Earth. However, the crew’s favorite is forgiven for this trick too.

New character

In the third chapter, a new, very colorful character appears - the space archaeologist Gromozeka. This good-natured giant will appear more than once in various stories in the series about Alisa Selezneva. Most often, in order to convince Professor Seleznev to allow his daughter to get involved in another adventure, it is his help that the author Bulychev will resort to. “Alice’s Journey,” a brief summary of which we are considering, gives a fairly complete picture of Gromozeka’s character and his inclinations. So in other stories his appearance is perceived as a meeting with a close friend.

In the meantime, he invites his friend Seleznev to turn to the diaries of the famous Three Captains, who traveled the entire Galaxy on their starships. Their records should help the expedition find truly rare and unique alien animals. The main intrigue of the story begins with this innocent conversation.

Alice's first discovery

The fourth chapter is marked by a commotion on the ship. The first unknown animals found - tadpoles - quickly turn into monsters, and then suddenly disappear altogether. This secret, which turned out to be too much for the three adult crew members, is easily dealt with by Alice’s extraordinary childish thinking.

This is her first discovery in a whole series of future mysteries and puzzles. What follows is another episode that, without a doubt, deserves to be included in the summary (“Alice’s Journey”). Bushes are creatures that look like plants, which is how they get their name, but behave like animals. They terrorized the entire team until the inventive Alice realized what the bushes were really after.

Talker

Professor Seleznev was not able to personally see the captains' diaries; he received only their oral and very brief contents. Alisa Selezneva’s journey might not have become so exciting if she had not been lucky enough to acquire a talker that belonged to one of the captains.

Govorun is an amazing bird that can fly independently between planets. In addition, he has an excellent memory and is able to reproduce any sounds he hears. The second captain, having fallen into a trap, sent him to call for help. But only a knowledgeable person could fully extract the information embedded in the bird. So our heroes had to be content with only fragmentary clues.

Meeting with space pirates

On the very outskirts of the Galaxy, far from patrol ships, the most elusive of space pirates - Veselchak U and the Rats - enter into confrontation with the Pegasus crew. But even here, Alice’s courage and ingenuity allows her to win a complete victory over the sophisticated scoundrels. They are arrested, and the captured captains are released.

Famous captains express gratitude to their saviors. They ask about the latest news from Earth and receive a story about it. Alisa Selezneva's journey is coming to an end, but the captains promise to take her with them on an excursion to the neighboring Galaxy. The father promises to let his daughter go on the condition that she grows up a little more.

Homecoming

The story ends with a description of how the whole team heads to their native solar system. During the expedition, we managed to collect not very many specimens of rare animals. But these species will be a worthy addition to the collection of the Moscow Space Zoo.

Alice is asked not to talk too much about the most amazing adventures. She readily agrees, realizing that her friends won’t believe most of them anyway. In addition, the logbook already stores their brief contents. Alice's journey, completed during the summer holidays, ends with the beginning of the new school year.

The Mystery of the Third Planet

Based on his story, Bulychev wrote a script for the cartoon “The Secret of the Third Planet.” Like the book itself, it turned out to be perky and dynamic. However, this work should be perceived, at best, only as a summary of the fairy tale “Alice’s Journey.” It in no way conveys the full story about the girl Alice described in the book.

Therefore, if your school curriculum requires you to read this story, do not think that watching the cartoon will be enough. Although, if you try, you can write a summary of “Alice’s Journey.” 5-6 sentences will be enough for this.

Description option for reader's diary

As the expedition progresses, the small crew encounters many unusual situations, the resourceful Alice often helps to find a way out of them. Thanks to her curiosity, the team manages to discover the trail of long-lost heroes - famous captains. Despite the machinations of space pirates, the crew of the Pegasus discovers the secret hideout of the villains and frees the captive captains.

From his trip, Professor Seleznev brings tadpoles to the zoo, which during their development grow to gigantic sizes, and then turn into small amphibians; bushes that can run after people on their roots in search of water, and fight among themselves for compote. Among the finds are pebbles that turn into heroes that a nearby person thinks about. The researchers also brought Skliss, who looks like an ordinary cow, but has transparent wings, and a couple of other animals.

At this time, Alice's friends and acquaintances come in turn and each brings gold, coins and even diamonds.
Finally, Alice returns, having also taken out the nugget.
Chapter 2. Forty-three birds with one stone

There are a lot of boxes and gifts to be loaded, which the earthlings give to their relatives and friends. At the end, grandma comes and wants to send a huge cake.
Finally, all the cargo has been distributed, a reserve of 200 kilograms remains, and the Pegasus is trying to take off.
The astronauts decide to throw some of the cargo out of the holds, but Alice is against it. Suddenly Seleznev finds out that Pegasus has received a complaint that he is trying to take children to the Moon.
It turned out that Alice hid her entire 3A class in the holds of the ship.
Seleznev and Zeleny unloaded 43 hares.
Alisa was upset that her class would not get to the match of the century, but 3B would get there because she was flying on a cargo barge in potato sacks
Chapter 3. Have you heard about the three captains?
On the Moon, Alice ran to a football match, and Professor Seleznev met his friend Gromozeka from the planet Chumaroz in a restaurant. Having learned that Seleznev is looking for rare animals, Gromozeka advises him to visit the planet of captains, where they are going to create a museum of three captains.
He reminds Seleznev about the exploits of the captains and says that currently the First Captain is working on Venus, which is being dragged closer to Earth, the Second has died, and the Third has not yet returned from the neighboring galaxy.
Alice arrives and reports the victory of the earthlings. Gromozeka rejoices at the girl and picks her up. Zeleny rushes to save Alice and ends up hanging from a chandelier.
Chapter 4. The tadpoles have disappeared
"Pegasus" flies to the scouts of Little Arthur and the scouts arrange a solemn meeting for the travelers. And having learned about the search for animals, they give Seleznev two tadpoles, meter-long reptiles, which must be kept in the pool.
By morning, the tadpoles had doubled in size, and by the evening of the next day they had grown to three and a half meters.
The next morning, Seleznev approached the pool with caution, but the pool turned out to be empty. Only the old discarded bodies of tadpoles floated in the water.
The astronauts began to search the ship, but the hatched tadpoles were not found. Finally, Alice took pity on the adults and offered to find the tadpoles.
She led everyone to the pool and showed three small frogs, which had turned into huge tadpoles.
Chapter 5. Advice from Dr. Verkhovtsev
"Pegasus" flew to the captains' planet and the expedition was cordially greeted by Dr. Verkhovtsev, the curator of the museum. He showed the astronauts a statue of captains - an earthling, a Martian and a Fixian. A bird sits on the shoulder of one of the captains.
Seleznev tells Verkhovtsev that they are looking for rare animals and would like to get acquainted with the captains' diaries. And Alice directly says that she would like to catch the bird, which is shown on the captain’s shoulder.
Verkhovtsev gets scared and crawls under the sofa for his hat. From there he says that there are no diaries and he cannot help. Then Verkhovtsev remembers about different planets and their inhabitants and finally talks about the Empty Planet with its mysterious life and talks about the Skliss.
Chapter 6. Bushes
At the last moment, Verkhovtsev remembers the bushes and tells the astronauts an interesting story. How the Third Cosmonaut got lost in the sands of a distant planet and followed strange sounds. It turned out that the bushes, a local life form, were singing. The bushes showed the captain the water and saved his life.
The expedition went to the eighth satellite of Aldebaran.
They found the bushes quickly and took three plants with them.
Already in flight, Zeleny heard singing - it was the bushes singing. And then the bushes appeared in the doorway and attacked the frightened people. Professor Seleznev armed himself with a mop and tried to drive the bushes back into the hold.
Green ran for the flamethrower, and Alice asked dad to hold back the bushes a little.
When the bushes snatched the mop from Seleznev’s hands, Alice returned and immediately dived into the bushes. The bushes instantly calmed down, and Seleznev saw that Alice was simply watering them.
The bushes just wanted to drink, and they always sang when they were thirsty.
Chapter 7. The mystery of the empty planet
"Pegasus" flies to the Empty Planet and cannot find it at the specified coordinates. So the astronauts contact the other ship, and the female astronaut tells them that they are flying correctly, and Dr. Verkhovtsev is a wonderful old man. She also says that there are many fish on the Empty Planet, but no animals, and that she is looking for a living nebula.
"Pegasus" landed on the Empty Planet and Green immediately went fishing. He quickly caught a whole bucket.
The next morning, Seleznev saw that the skies of the planet were teeming with birds. Green went fishing, but there was not a single living creature in the sea. At that time, a strong wind rose and the birds also disappeared. But small animals that looked like hares were jumping on the grass. Then it turned out that the steppe was simply teeming with animals.
Soon it started to rain. Seleznev and Alisa went to the steppe to catch animals, but the bioscanner showed that there were no animals around.
The astronauts were at a loss, but Alice solved the mystery of the planet. She ran to the lake with a bucket, scooped up water and brought a fish in the bucket. It turned out that when it rains, the inhabitants of the planet turn into fish, when the sun shines, into birds, and when the wind blows, into animals.
Chapter 8. What the Ushans said
"Pegasus" arrives on the planet Blook, where a bazaar is being held. Ushans lived on the planet - intelligent creatures who had three large ears. The ushan guards told the astronauts a sad story.
It turned out that recently some person began selling white worms, which all animal owners were happy to buy. But it turned out that the worms multiply at tremendous speed and soon most of the planet was buried under a layer of worms. The problem was solved by the merchant Krabakas, who released eater birds on the worms, which ate all the worms.
Therefore, now all ships from Earth were strictly inspected, because the merchant with the worms was an earthling. The guards showed the photo to the astronauts and they recognized Dr. Verkhovtsev.
And then the Ushans remembered that all their talkers had been exterminated.

Chapter 9. We need a Talker
Seleznev and Alisa are looking for a hotel for people and notice the silhouette of Doctor Verkhovtsev in the windows of the third floor. They rush to get up, but find an empty room. And a fat, smiling man in a black suit appears and tells them that the guest has left.
The bazaar on the planet was amazing in size and abundance of different life forms. Sometimes it was difficult to understand who was selling whom. So, Professor Seleznev made a mistake and asked how much the bird cost, when it turned out that it was the bird that was selling the baller.
Alice became interested in the invisible fish in the aquarium, but Seleznev does not believe that there is anything there. He sticks his hand into the aquarium and dangles it in the air. The merchant bursts into tears, because the professor scared away all his airy invisible fish and ruined him. Alice reproaches her father for his callousness. As a farewell, the merchant gives Alice an invisibility cap.
At this time, a strange creature on thin legs, constantly changing color, rushes under the travelers’ feet. This is an indicator that turns different colors depending on emotions.
He is caught by a two-headed snake, which is indignant that Seleznev is selling his own daughter, then is indignant that Alice is selling her father, and finally gives the indicator to Alice.
Alice sees a canary in a cage being carried by the ears. But the Ushans say that they wanted to buy the talker, but there were none left at all. Someone has destroyed all the talkers and Alice says that they need a talker.
Chapter 10. We bought Talker
Nobody can sell talkers to astronauts. Krabakas says that these birds don’t just talk, they can fly between the stars. Hidden behind the boxes is the ushan who brought the talker to the market. Alice recognizes the bird that was sitting on the captain's shoulder.
Ushan says that someone is following him and is trying to steal the talker or even kill him. He points to Dr. Verkhovtsev.
Seleznev and Alisa buy Govorun and carry him around the square. Everyone around is surprised, and the talker in Russian says phrases that he heard from the Captains.
An old acquaintance, a fat man, comes out to meet Seleznev and demands that he sell or give up the talker. Seleznev already wants to turn to the police, but the fat man is hiding.
Then Doctor Verkhovtsev appears to Seleznev and puts his hand in his pocket. He's armed.
Seleznev calls Poloskov for help. At this time, numerous stamp collectors show up and Verkhovtsev retreats.
Chapter 11. Course towards the Medusa system
On the ship, the astronauts decide that the talker is the same one that the Captains had. A fat man comes and gives them a diamond turtle, saying that his name is Veselchak U.
The talker suggests setting a course for the Medusa system.
Seleznev decides to fly to the Medusa system, but first fly to Sheshinera and look at the Slyss. At this time, the turtle tries to escape, and the astronauts lock it in a safe.
Chapter 12. Such a sad invention
"Pegasus" arrives at the planet Sheshinera and in the refrigerator Seleznev finds a green man eating a pineapple. Next, a second, then a third green man appears and everyone takes pineapples. Seleznev calls Poloskov, but the refrigerator is already empty and there are no more pineapples.
Alice asks to forgive the little green men, whom she recognizes as the inhabitants of the planet.
"Pegasus" lands on the planet and is greeted by a crowd with banners, everyone greets Alice.
An elderly green man said that once on the planet they invented pills that made it possible to travel through time. This led to trouble. Everyone began to return to the past to relive pleasant moments, but no one was interested in the present.
The little man disappeared and returned with a pineapple, which he took from the Pegasus refrigerator yesterday. He said that everyone on the planet thanks Alice for standing up for them yesterday.
Then Seleznev asked about the Skliss, but the little man said that they would refuse them anyway and disappeared.
Seleznev saw a cow that took off and flew to the other side of the street. He asked the green boy whose skliss it was. The boy replied that it was nobody’s, and Seleznev took the skiff to the Pegasus.
Chapter 13. Paralyzed robots
On the way to the Medusa system, Pegasus receives a distress signal from the planet Shelezyaka, inhabited by robots. The traveler sits down and finds one barely alive robot. The robot says that there is an epidemic on the planet.
Green began to dig into the robot, but found nothing, then he decided to change the lubricant. The robot, having learned that the expedition is looking for animals, offers them robotic animals, but Seleznev believes that he does not need such animals.
After replacing the lubricant, the robot comes to its senses. Green says that bacteria have settled in the lubricant, which turns it into rust.
The robot recognizes the talker and greets him. It turns out that the wounded talker received help on the planet - robots replaced his wing with a prosthesis.
And then a man in a hat flew in and cursed terribly when he found out that the robots had helped the talker. And then he was seen at the lubricant tank. It was Doctor Verkhovtsev again.
As a parting gift, the robot gave the travelers several small robotic animals, which immediately began chasing the diamond turtle along the corridor.
Chapter 14. The Pursuit of Lady Winter
"Pegasus" lands on the deserted second planet of the Medusa system and Govorun warns that one should beware of mirages.
Then Seleznev sees two men and one woman on the field. Alice immediately recognizes them - these are Porthos, D'Artagnan and Lady Winter. It was about them that she read in the evening.
Travelers understand that these are mirages. They see birch trees, grass, then themselves, Doctor Verkhovtsev, who turns out to be familiar with Veselchak, and finally the Captains.
Professor Seleznev takes pebbles from the surface and brings them to the Pegasus. He introduces the crew to the inhabitants of the planet, who can create mirages. A mirage of the Second Captain appears in the cabin, and the talker reports that they need to look for him on the third planet.
Chapter 15. Croc bird chick
On the third planet there were many forests and various animals, and huge birds flew in the sky. Poloskov sends a scout flying, but he very quickly falls silent, and Poloskov flies on a boat to look for him.
Seleznev sees Alice following the talker to the forest and suddenly a croc bird grabs her.
He calls for help and Poloskov rushes to him. They fly on a boat to the mountains, where the nest of the croc bird is located.
There they see many nests and notice Alice in one of them. The bird tries to feed the girl fish; she mistakes Alice for her chick.
Seleznev and Poloskov take Alisa, and she shows them a sign found in the nest with the inscription “Blue Gull”.
Chapter 16. Mirror flowers
Seleznev and Alisa walk for a long time through the forest after Govorun. And so they find themselves in a clearing overgrown with mirror flowers. Alice looks at her reflection. Then Poloskov checks the clearing with a metal detector, but finds no traces of the Blue Seagull.
The astronauts pick flowers and carry a bouquet to the Pegasus.
Green looks like a flower, but it reflects not him, but Alice.
At this time, Talker is knocking with his beak outside. They launch him and he says in the voice of the second captain: “There is no strength to hold on anymore. Will help come soon?”
Chapter 17. We look into the past
Travelers look into the flowers and see that everything in them is moving in reverse. They realize that they are seeing a backward recording of events that happened in the past.
Suddenly they see Verkhovtsev and Veselchak. They are arguing about something, and behind them you can see the silhouette of a spaceship.
Seleznev and Alisa fly to the clearing, but the search will not be successful. They return and Zeleny suggests cutting off the layer of mirror from the flower to see what happened in the past. Gradually cutting away layer by layer, they notice that a huge hatch occupies the entire clearing.
At this time, the indicator pushes Green's arm and the mirror breaks.
The astronauts go to the wardroom to take another flower and see that all the flowers are broken and the Talker bird has disappeared.

Chapter 18. Spy
Poloskov was flying around the planet at that time and found nothing. Seleznev checked the ship's hatch and found that it was open. He notices a talker pushing a diamond turtle along the ground.
Seleznev takes the turtle in his arms and returns it to the ship. He and Zeleny don’t understand who could open the hatch, but then Zeleny sees the key to the hatch in the turtle’s beak.
He takes the turtle and examines it. Then he pries the shell and it opens. The turtle turns out to be a cunning robot. The turtle turned out to be a spy and the cosmonauts understand that Verkhovtsev and Veselchak wanted to get the key to the ship in order to capture it.
Chapter 19. Where is the girl?
Poloskov decides to drive the Pegasus to the mirror clearing. Then another ship lands nearby and Verkhovtsev runs out of it, waving to the cosmonauts. Poloskov starts off quickly.
Alice says that Verkhovtsev was without a hat.
"Pegasus" lands in a mirror clearing, where broken mirrors lie everywhere, and suddenly falls through.
No one was hurt during the emergency landing and the travelers decide to find out where they fell through. They exit the ship and explore the cave. There is stone and darkness all around. But in the rays of flashlights they see the silhouette of a spaceship nearby. This is the Blue Seagull.
Suddenly a bright light flashes and a command sounds to drop the weapon and not move. Four pirates are approaching from both sides, among them Verkhovtsev in a hat and Veselchak.
The travelers find themselves surrounded.
The pirates handcuff the astronauts, but suddenly notice that Alice is not nearby. The girl disappeared.
Chapter 20. In captivity.
Alice is nowhere to be found, and the black man finds Talker in the ship and goes down the ladder. Verkhovtsev commands to break Govorun’s neck, but the black man suddenly falls and releases the bird. The talker quickly flies away.
Veselchak turns to the Second Captain and demands that he leave the ship. He threatens to kill the professor and his companions.
The captain turns to Professor Seleznev.
He says that the Third Captain, who flew to another galaxy, returned from there with the formula for galactium, a universal fuel, and asked the Second Captain to meet him here. The third captain was very ill.
But the pirates intercepted this message and set a trap. They were also hunting for galaxy. The pirates captured the Third Captain and probably killed him.
The pirates are going to kill Professor Seleznev and the Second Captain is about to leave.
He jumps out of the ship and fires a blaster, but the pirates surround him, and Veselchak raises a knife over Seleznev's throat.
And suddenly the command to drop the weapon sounds. Dr. Verkhovtsev without a hat, the First Captain and even Alice are coming from both sides.
Chapter 21. Meanwhile...
Alice, while still on the Pegasus, discovered that the invisibility cap really existed, and when they were attacked by pirates, she decided to use it. She put on her hat and disappeared.
She tripped the pirate and he released the Talker. Then Alice ran along the corridors after Talker, and in some cell I heard a faint groan. Then Govorun brought her to the surface.
And there she sees a spaceship and Doctor Verkhovtsev. But next to the doctor, the First Captain and Talker joyfully sits on his shoulder.
Alice tries to warn the Captain that Verkhovtsev is a traitor, but the Captain brushes aside these accusations. Verkhovtsev was with him all the time, and in the dungeon there was someone else who was only posing as Verkhovtsev.
Then Alice takes off her invisible hat and meets the First Captain.
They rush to help their comrades in trouble.
Chapter 22. The fat man is lying
The pirates surrender and Verkhovtsev steps on his double. He pulls the zipper and underneath the man's appearance reveals a scary insect. Merry Man shouts that this is the main pirate, Rat. The rat stabs himself with his own stinger and pretends to die.
But Veselchak says that Rat is simply unconscious. Then they decide to put him in a cage.
Veselchak says that he is an honest pirate and bargains to reveal the secret of the trap. But the captains do not conduct any negotiations with him.
The First Captain tells how he and Verkhovtsev searched for both the Pegasus and the Second Captain.
Finally, Veselchak opens the trap and everyone gets ready to leave. And then Alice remembers the moan she heard.
Chapter 23. Prisoner in the dungeon
In the cage, the astronauts find the Third Captain, barely alive. He is very bad, but he is happy with his friends. And at that moment he dies. Seleznev cuts his chest and begins to directly massage his heart. Finally my heart started beating.
The third captain is given strengthening injections and taken out into the fresh air. His life is no longer in danger. Everyone is happy that the three captains are together again and will soon be sailing the expanses of space again.
Chapter 24. The end of the journey.
When the Third Captain has recovered a little, everyone begins to prepare for the return trip. And at that moment another ship appears.
The ship's pilot refuses help and the First Captain recognizes his wife Ella by his voice. It turns out that she finally caught her living nebula and now the main thing is not to let it go.
With joint efforts, the nebula is planted on the ground and Veselchak immediately hides in it.
While Ella and Seva, as the First Captain's name turns out, are sorting things out, Veselchak suddenly starts running. But the Croc bird catches him and carries him away.
However, Veselchak spins around so much that the bird drops him, and Veselchak falls somewhere behind the stones.
But the nebula escapes safely and is recaptured only near Shelezyak’s planet.
Then the nebula is taken to Earth, where it is placed on the Moon in a crater.
Everyone says goodbye and wishes each other the best.
The captains promise Alice to take her to another galaxy when the girl grows up, and she promises to take her dad with her.

Year of writing: 1974

Genre: fantastic story

Main characters: Alisa Selezneva

Plot

At first glance, the girl Alice is an ordinary student, but she lives in the 21st century, and her father is a cosmobiologist, he studies extraordinary animals discovered on other planets, and his daughter helps him with everything.

Alice, along with her dad and other spacefarer friends, often goes on long trips to other planets and experiences entertaining and sometimes dangerous adventures there, because she is a kind and sympathetic girl and is always the first to rush to the aid of those who need her.

A brave schoolgirl has to uncover the intrigues of space spies, fight pirates and save the starship crew in trouble. Adults often do not take her seriously, but the girl is capable of any feat for the sake of her friends.

Conclusion (my opinion)

There are many teenagers like Alice in our time, and there were such people before. Maybe their life is not as interesting as that of a 21st century schoolgirl, but they are also faithful and devoted comrades, capable of much.
